Avanti Communications Group Plc16 April 2007 16 April 2007 AVANTI COMMUNICATIONS GROUP PLC ("Avanti Communications" or the "Company") AVANTI SELLS HYLAS CAPACITY Avanti Communications Group plc announces a contract with UK based Satweb Ltdfor the provision of satellite capacity for the next seven years. The initialservice will be based on Avanti's existing leased capacity and will transfer tothe Company's own satellite, Hylas on launch. Satweb specialise in providing mobile satellite services for corporate networksand broadcasters. Satweb's Managing Director, Andrew Proudfoot said "With theanticipated arrival of HYLAS and it's performance advantage it will enable us todeliver technology that should change the way people communicate from a manportable to satcomms on a moving vehicle." Chief Executive of Avanti, David Williams, added that "We have three coremarkets for satellite services. We already have business on Hylas in broadbandand in corporate networks, so I am delighted to report progress in the third,wholesale video". The contract is worth an initial £528,000 but incorporates a ramp up to £4.8million to provide for the anticipated growth in demand for Satweb's services.
