Bumi plc ("Bumi" or the "Company")

Update on Shareholder Credit Facility

As disclosed in the prospectuses published by Vallar PLC on 24 February 2011 and by Bumi plc ("Bumi") on 17 June 2011, PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk and Long Haul Holdings Ltd (the "Borrowers") entered in to a US$1,345,000,000 credit agreement (the "Facility") which granted the lenders a share pledge in the form of a mortgage over all of the ordinary shares that the Borrowers hold in Bumi. Bumi has been informed that the Facility will be due for repayment in the near future and that the Borrowers are currently in discussions with a view to restructuring and/or repaying the Facility.

Bumi will make a further announcement in due course when the results of those discussions are known.
