Anglo Pacific Group PLC07 January 2008 News Release 7th January 2008 Anglo Pacific Group PLC ("the Company") Shareholding Notification The Company has been informed on 7th January 2008 that, as at 6th January 2008,AXA S.A, and its group of companies, now hold an interest in 10,579,481 ordinaryshares of 2p each in the Company. This holding represents approximately 10.02%of the voting rights of the Company's issued share capital. These shares are represented by a beneficial interest of 388,924 shares(approximately 0.37% of the issued ordinary share capital) and a non-beneficialinterest of 10,190,557 shares (approximately 9.65% of the issued ordinary sharecapital).
