Altona Resources PLC17 August 2006 17th August 2006 Altona Resources Plc ("Altona" or "the Company") ISSUE OF SHARES Altona Resources plc (AIM: ANR) announces the issue of 1,350,000 new ordinaryfully paid shares in lieu of payment of fees in the amount of £115,000,including 1,000,000 shares issued to Mr Stephen Lay in respect of hisremuneration for his previously held position of CEO of Altona. Application will be made for the new ordinary shares to be admitted to tradingon AIM. The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinaryshares in the Company and trading of these shares on AIM is expected to commenceon 23rd August 2006.
