ITC goes "Live" with new Amino advanced media platform for enhanced services rollout

Amino Technologies plc (LSE: AMO), the Cambridge-based leader in digital entertainment solutions for IPTV, Internet TV and in-home multimedia distribution, has secured a contract to provide US local IPTV service provider Interstate Telecommunications Cooperative Inc (ITC) with its Live Advanced Media Platform.

Serving a number of towns across South Dakota and Minnesota, ITC has a long history of technological innovation combined with a strong local focus which extends to providing multiple community access channels for local schools, sports teams and churches.

Services also include over 70 HD channels, Video on demand, Whole Home DVR and TV everywhere functionality - delivered over a mixed fibre and VDSL network.

ITC's Network Operations Manager Ren Preheim said: "In trials we were very impressed with the power and performance of the Live platform and believe it offers a future-proof platform for the kinds of advanced services we're deploying and the changing needs of our customer base."

Powered by the Intel® dual core ATOM™ processor, the Live Advanced Media Platform is Amino's latest generation home media hub for multiscreen and multi-stream delivery around the home. Catch-up TV services, video on demand, social and user-generated content are all handled seamlessly by the device - which offers ten times the processing power of a standard IP set-top box.

In addition to PVR and Wi-Fi capability, the Live Advanced Media Platform can also record up to six channels and then play out content securely over the home network.
