White Nile Limited06 June 2007 White Nile Ltd / Ticker: WNL / Index: AIM / Sector: Oil & Gas 6th June 2007 White Nile Ltd ('White Nile' or 'the Company') Sudan Update White Nile Ltd, the AIM listed oil and gas exploration company, has noted thepress speculation re its Block Ba licence area in Southern Sudan and would liketo provide the following update. The Company is aware that negotiations in Khartoum between representatives ofthe Government of Southern Sudan and the Northern Government, with regard to oilexploration and production issues in Southern Sudan, have been concluded. It isunderstood that the Government of Southern Sudan is involved in continuingnegotiations on a number of other issues and has not yet had the opportunity tomake official comment on the outcome of the negotiations re oil issues. White Nile's representatives in Juba have been in constant contact with leadingofficials of the Government of Southern Sudan, and have been informed that withregards to Block Ba, White Nile is to be included in a consortium that willexplore and develop the enlarged Block B, which will include White Nile's BlockBa as well as Block Bb and Bc. It is understood other members in the consortiumwill include Total, Kufpec, SudaPet and NilePet, the later two being thenational oil companies of Northern and Southern Sudan respectively. White Nile is confident that the negotiations have resulted in a positiveoutcome for the Company. Its representatives have emphasised that clarity on theoutcome of the negotiations is needed from the Government of Southern Sudan assoon as possible.
