Board Appointment
Abbey plc wish to announce the appointment of Ms Avril Gallagher as a non-executive Director of the Company and also as a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees. Ms Gallagher is an independent consultant in the advertising and media business. Previously she held roles at PHD Global Business Unit (a subsidiary of Omnicom Media Group) and previously to that with Starcom MediaVest Group.
Ms Gallagher is currently a director of Oxford Gate Management Limited and Matthew Investments Limited. She holds no other directorships within Abbey plc and its subsidiaries. Ms Gallagher has not held any other directorships within the last five years.
There is no further information to be disclosed in respect of Ms Gallagher as required by Schedule 2, Paragraph g, of the AIM and ESM rules for companies.
The board of Abbey plc is delighted that Ms Gallagher has accepted this appointment.
