Percy that’s crap. Obviously I’m right or they wouldn’t still be growing. And how on earth you manage to lead sustained growth and excellent stewardship to a 40% decrease in mcap is beyond me. Their food is good, their pricing is competitive.. more people are buying it. Where’s the problem

You make a good point retirement. It’s relatively easy to tax plan away from Percy’s tax perceived nightmare. You have to remember that some people were never going to walk into a Mks food hall yet they are still growing at a pace in the face of all this doom mongering. Why is that Percy?

I don’t know where you live Percy. But Mks is no longer aspirational imo. It competes with all the other outlets on price and quality (bar Lidl and aldi) Food is not discretionary spending and the clothing etc is cheap for your imaginary target customers.

In other words. In tumultuous market conditions there will be more losers than winners. Mks is winning

I’m familiar with the tax code Percy. All too familiar. Mks has pivoted away. Food is not discretionary spending. And their clothing and homeware is much more competitively priced vis a vis 5/10/15/20 years ago. A good strategy I’m sure you’d agree. Digital sales growth needs to be underpinned by high street presence to achieve trust and ultimately loyalty. As such Mks is in prime position to take advantage in a difficult market. Which they are doing. Do you understand that ?

i don’t really disagree with the personal tax freezes. i do think the cluster**** of increased tax on business is detrimental though. when you have good businesses / entrepreneurs who are avoiding expansion because the risk / benefit ratio has made investment impossible to justify we have a problem. thats why imo mks bucking the trend shows just how good their strategy and execution is.

Twaddle chips everyone knows what’s going to happen. Mks is full steam ahead. Good team good numbers good strategy and good execution. Yes the data breach was a kick in the teeth but now they are prepared and have robustly recovered. I’m sure some valuable lessons have been learnt, cementing the knowledge base moving forward. The fact remains the plan they are executing is working and gaining momentum and market share. A rise in the share price reflecting this is unavoidable.

Agreed will be £5 in no time. The new food halls they are opening are next level for the high street. They have pivoted brilliantly and are on the march. Only a matter of time.

Agreed should see a re rate on that news. Fundamentally they’ve filled the coffers

They’ve held their own in fashion. It was a tough quarter for discretionary sales with the 2month budget scaring the hell out of everything.

I would say it’s outstanding. A full recovery has been made now.

Agree. The new food store near me in london ridiculously well appointed . Slightly bigger than original food Halls , fresh bread and barista made coffee areas. Feels like it’s been there forever and is very very busy.
