Does anyone see the logic for why there would be an open short on Saga but not one on Amigo at the moment? Seems a bit odd?

PBT comparatives:
- Travel (2020=£19.8m; 2019=£21.6m; 2018=£20.4m).
- Insurance retail (2020=£90.2m; 2019=£105.8m; 2018=£130m).
- Insurance underwriting (2020=£40.6m; 2019=£86.7m; 2018=£79.2m).

So largest part of the business is clearly insurance. In all key revenue streams January 2020 has been the worst year out of the last three. SP has declined for the last 5 years. Any LTHs I have sympathy. I am oddly invested (more out of sentiment than anything) but cant help but feel this business is slowly dying be it that is down to management or lack of demand in general it feels like the business is being left behind and is now completely out of date. I hope I am wrong because as I say I am invested.

Sorry dont want to be negative as in the short term I dont see much. Long term potential for sure which is why invested.

I am not sure where BA fly to most but imagine US will be a fair chunk of its flights. With the current increase in cases its difficult to see how an air bridge will be established there (unless its with certain states only). With NY suffering badly its hard to see them flying there.

I read that also. Can't see BA disappearing anytime soon.

There'll be a bail out if iag were to end up in trouble. Not sure who would fill terminal 5 with their planes if BA disappeared.

Not really news as RNS says they expected to reopen on 10th July in UK in any case. The coverage and confirmation on national news might help a bit I guess.

The sp does look odd. Are the market thinking the future looks bleak? For example, government debt growing, no money to spend on services G4S offer? Seems odd the sp has barely moved since covid.

The statement in the RNS today is a bit alarming as it implies they know they have done wrong and as a result will have a chunky pay out.

"The additional cost of complaints received subsequent to 31 March 2020 is expected to be material, as a result of the substantial increase in the rate of complaints received"

Its coming isnt it - the equity issue. Tough decision for everyone I guess.

These shares are to put in the bottom drawer and forget about them. This business does feel like its flat lining a bit - selling a business at a loss isnt great. Hopefully now is the time to really clear out the skeletons and refocus as the sp has been long in decline.

Lloyds did have government bail out though.

Have Next VR disappeared now as they had a partnership with Live Nation previously? Does anyone know why this didn't take off?
