I believe there are some good news for Vodafone coming soon, hence why E& increasing stake quite rapidly (unless they want a merger in the near future). Malone also got a whiff of this good news. And he mentioned that he believes Vodafone is undervalued.
Institutions hold more than 75% of Vodafone shares (correct me if am wrong please). There may be a tug of war playing in the background.
More likely the sp will appreciate near term, so hold on. There are going to be tree shakes to gather more shares for E&. Patience

I mentioned before. The sp is being held back for big players. Paid doomsters arrive to keep sp low. Hold onto your shares.
E&, Malone and Xavier are not stupid. They have a lot more knowledge than us. Follow the money….

Did some research:
Around 280m shares traded today. That’s very high for one day. Sp didn’t move much.
Something happening in the background

I can see 9m sells. 34m buys today.
Where do you see 200m buy?
If it is true, then e& are increasing to 15%.
Around 250m is 1% of vod.

Short interest has reduced further down to 0.07% of float. It was 0.10% 2 weeks ago. Hopefully sp start to move up.
My prediction is 93.

Follow the money. E&, Liberty and Xavier have invested over £7b between them into Vodafone within the last 12 months.
And when idiots like porsche*** start’s negativity, then it’s definitely time to buy more of Vodafone.

After deducting all liabilities, the NAV is still around €56b. More than double the current market cap.
It’s dropping in the US after initial gains today. Hopefully pick up before closing

No buybacks on 16th or 20th. I also think some news is imminent. Fingers crossed

Yes. The rumours/positivity pushed the sp up a year ago. But now we have 3 big players on board. Also increasing their stake gradually. Even if nothing no bid, hopefully the sentiments will push sp up to 140/150 like last year

Even though the sp is not moving much right now, am sure there’s a lot of activity going on in the background. Don’t forget that 1% of vod is equal to around £270/£280m. If e& spending this much every 3/4 weeks to increase their stake, this is quite aggressive. Something will pop….

We will have to wait and see. But I can’t imagine e& increasing their stake because they want a merger with 3. Most probably they want whole of vod. Also John Malone taking a stake possibly because he doesn’t want Vod going to a competitor. He may even counter bid.
But we wait and see….

I was thinking the same. Net equity after deducting all liabilities is still around £55b. Currently market pricing it at £27b. I think bid is coming around 40/45b….

USA closed 2% down. Looks like another drop tomorrow. Why can’t we hold onto gains?

$60 for poo is reasonable. Trying to keep poo at $90 is extortion territory. Everyone suffers.
Oil countries and companies can make a decent profit at $60.
