Great post myfirstmillion, I can sense you want the same as me here and that is just to see progress! It’s been so long that most of us have forgotten what real progress looks like here, it’s always just talk.
The other thing I’ve been thinking about is the poles and wires contract. And whoever gets given the contract will surely need assurance that tlou have the funds to actually pay them for the job in hand! So if they still want first electric at the end of 2021 then funding really needs to be sorted this year, but the window for getting that completed this year is fast running out! It’s just a complete shambles how little we actually know as shareholders about this project now, the board are treating shareholders so badly by withholding all this information from us! When was the last time we had a comprehensive update on everything? This year they’ve decided to completely keep us in the dark! Gilby if he has any decency should at the very least give a interview letting us know where we stand with everything! They are treating all holders very badly!

You keep on using this corona virus as an excuse for the company not getting anywhere, yes it might have slowed things but make no mistake tlou were woeful way before COVID had even made an appearance. Take the flow rates for example, drilled way before we knew about COVID and can you tell me what the rates are now?
Talks have been on going so long for finance also, what are the timelines for this to be resolved? We all know this was meant to have been sorted a few months before COVID! Investors are so short of information here it’s a joke!!

I’m still sticking with no material news before Christmas here, which will be another massive let down by an incompetent board again!! They can’t afford another failure next year!!

All very well but where is the rns stating a deal has been done?
It’s all just guess work and talk but nothing ever comes of all this talk, the company never delivers!
At this moment in time no holder here has any idea on such a host of issues with tlou, because they are not divulging any information to us! Flow rates, timescales for funding ppa, poles and wires!! Just a few.
It’s all just talk and supposition!!
It’s about time gilby gave us something tangible to go on!!! Shambles still!!!

I said this awhile back and I’ll say it again, we won’t get any material news this year! 6weeks or so to get funding news or a signed ppa! Add to this Botswana shuts down in December!
You could be forgiven for thinking that Tony gilby is new to this industry by tlou’s performance the last 3 years!! Certainly doesn’t seem like he’s had success with companies before the way he’s totally fu*#ed this up!!

That’s because the bod have not given us anything new to discuss because of their poor performance.
And that is quite a feat, nothing new for a year apart from a tender for poles and wires! If the bod actually delivered on their promises we would have a host of items to discuss until the cows come home! But for now and the foreseeable I’ll be stuck on repeat!!!!

It would seem we are not as close to this deal being done as some people would have us believe! An extension of time?

Not long before Botswana shuts down for Christmas and still we are waiting for news!! A year ago colm uttered the immortal line we are tantalisingly close!! And here we are still waiting and waiting! It’s been a disgrace of a performance!!!

Not true winni, I new perfectly well that buying into tlou would mean African timescales but nobody could have foreseen the scale to which this has slipped, the bots government are partly to blame but so is Gilby! When you purchase shares you are buying into the rhetoric that the management tell us, but what they promised and what they have delivered in those predicted timelines is way off the mark! I’ve been invested here for 4+ years now so I’m pretty up on the potential, but for all the talk and waffle from the bod, at some point they’ve got to act and say, you know what enough is enough sack the route with the government off and sign for funding elsewhere! It’s no good having all that gas sat in the ground if you continue to not be able progress the project just because your waiting for the bots government to come good with the funding!!

Some good points winni, I’ll try and take stock of my postings in the future! Not promising anything though!

The bod are a shambles

The only depressing thing here is the bod think we are gullible enough to believe they are still running the rule over possible funding possibilities!!!
They have gone from it being pretty much in the bag to now running the rule over different financiers! Pull the other one!!
The project has stalled because of no signed ppa and funding! 2-3 years behind schedule because this bod have no plan B!!

And that’s why I find myself so frustrated with the bod downtoearth, they could clearly sign with multiple parties now or could have along time ago but still choose to flog the same dead horse at the expense of us all! That rns was a complete waste of time, if they had some brains and not issued it the sp would still be looking better but due to a lack of poor judgment from the management again we’ve been hammered back down, very poor from gilby!
