Holders have been waiting all year for self test approval.

Now we are waiting for professional test approval AGAIN.

and Omega have no idea if the test will be approved. After all these new standards are Porton Down standards and so far Omega cannot get Visitect approved by Porton Down so this will be the same.

Pleased I derisked so much of this now. Dam operate predominately in the UK so its all just fluff to cover up the truth that Omega are in trouble and we know what happens here today, hence why i tried to save a few yesterday and got a load of abuse,

There you go guys, as stated yesterday, the new legislation does apply to Omega and they are not permitted to sell any test in England until such time that the Department of Health gets around to reviewing their application and there is no guarantee that it will pass. After all this is the same body that didn't approve the Mologic test???? Why the delay again??

Yes I was bullish on Omega.
But in the market, you need to be able to change your view in a moments notice. After all if you dont, what happens?

You end up losing money.

So there is material uncertainty now about the immediate prospects of the company. The company will come out and clarify that position.

I have read the regs and concluded that the company will state that at present they cannot sell their test.

In light of that position, to protect myself from losing money i have sold most of my holding.

This is good risk management.

The personal attacks are not warranted when I am simply stating facts as i see them.

He has misunderstood the regs. If we had a test that was approved by a public health board (ie porton down) then we would be ok but we dont - therefore we need to go through the new regs like all the rest.
Are we on the list of 45? no we are not

therefore we have not got a test to sell and therefore omega will have to announce this shortly.

I for one dont want to be in it when they do - hence my decision to sell.

Yep, **** poor. If they have commenced the process they would have said and even if they have started the process of reapplying for approval, will they get it, and how long will it take to get it.

Urgh.

Yes DAM was great news but if we cant sell them any tests then what is the point. Also I am conscious that the government takes a very long time to do anything.
Will they prioritise our application which is a professional use one - or will they focus on companies who are seeking self test re-evaluation.

Truth is Omega will have to advise of this news and its implications and I have done my reading. Dress it up as you like but they aint got a test they can sell until such time that the regulations have been met.

Twatcher - didn't think i would be saying this - as many know I have been a long term supporter of this stock.
However you are correct, and the facts are the facts.
Omega as a result of this do not have a test that they can sell.
and the DAM deal cannot generate any money until such time that the government approve the Visitect test.

With results at then of the week, it is a no brainer for me to protect my capital and that of my family until the situation becomes clearer dare I say price is going to take a battering and I am not going to be part of that process.
Does it mean i wont be buying back of course not but I wont be sitting here to see this at 20p.

It pains me to say it guys that on reading the legislation carefully this morning, that Omega will not be able to sell any of their tests until such time that the government approve their test under the new regulations.
We do not even know if they have applied for sale under the new regulations.
Further more we know how long the government take to make any decision here.

This is possibly the worst news to learn of today. I will be selling half of key position today to protect my wealth from being impacted.

They are basically telling you that they are selling tests at £.3.75 if Dam need 200k a month. Great price and leaves tonnes of margin.
Also clearly Dam will take the self test also when its available which means THEY HAVE PLANS

One day soon, very soon, this month, in fact any day there will be an RNS, the start of many.
The Market makers will open this stock up with a new price and you will see this open at 80p + and the given that its company making news, it will be the start of a RE-RATE.

Its only down here due to a largely neurotic amateur PI base who have been duped into selling by the pros who SQUAT on this board day in day out day in day out - they don't do it for the love of you they do it as they know this month there will be news on
