The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Would love to have been there with those of you that are going but it would have meant pulling a sickie and that's not me. Hope it all goes well!
eryryss,
My Nephew phoned me the day they were 30p and said, "Have you sold?" and gave me all the reasons why. RSI etc. and do you know, had he of phoned me the day before, I was thinking of selling and I think I would have been convinced to do so. I even said to him why did he not phone yesterday. Seeing them fall that 10p, you know how it is but the day before they were 35p and i was so close to selling. Regarding the vote, I had to tell them it was an EGM. You have to ask to be signed up to receive notice of EGM/AGM. It's not like Corporate actions where you get these come to your account automatically.
eryryss, just catching up with all the posts from today. You have a good memory. It was in London at one of the presentations about six or seven years ago. Food was very good I remember! :) That day I met RY and he introduced me to them two shareholders with my Nephew I really felt I had spoken to a guy who was going to be true to his word. He kept harping on about this world class asset that we had and so many would be after. I really believed and thought my money was safe. Why not, we had the 5th largest one in the world if my memory serves me correctly and all we had to do was see it through to a stage that it would then be sold off for a huge sum. That was always the plan! I was so shocked when I read on here the other day what was about to go down. Stitched up again I thought like with SXX and HGM to name a couple. Aim is so corrupt! I have my shares via II, Iweb and Charles Stanley Direct. I phoned them all up as I panicked when someone on here said I only had until the 19th to cast my vote. II, I had to do by a secure message but the other two accepted it over the phone.
Wand, I hope you're right! Going by this board, it does not give me any faith at all!!!
Yep! Lost out big time there also!!!
Forget the TEO. I thought we already had a several billions $ asset and we are now quite happy to let it go for a mere $105M.or am I missing something. We are selling this far too cheap as far as I am concerned. We all know it is worth between 10-15p a share. If it was a straight forward deal I could understand people voting for this but to wait some years in the hope of a promise of payments to shareholders is crazy. Not many of you on here over the years trusted RY but now you do. Doesn't make sense. I actually met RY many years ago and had a chat with him . Did like the guy. He had a smug look on his face back then when I mentioned the share price being so low. Met a couple of investors with him who had ploughed a million pound in each. From that I took it that he knew what the positive end result was going to be for us investors so that's why I have been grabbing as many shares as I could since 2009. I really am so surprised by this deal he has come up with. All the years gone by, money spent to upgrade the asset time and time again and now walk away with just $105 million. We were told that we would have another asset up and running to pay to get this up and running without diluting. What happened to this idea? What happened to Glencore. Tom was working on a deal with them as he had worked with them before but nothing came of it. Yes I have voted no. To me it is a no brainer. To me blaming the Ukraine war for this deal to be the only way forward is total and utter rubbish!
Hi Guys,
Recently got in here at £2.27 so it would be a quick profit for me but obviously I invested because I could see HGM was so undervalued with a P/E under 7 compared to 36 for CEY which I was in. The 40% of shares have been acquired at £3.00 each. Therefore under the rules the minimum offer has to be £3.00 a share for the remaining shares in issue. As far as I am aware they would have to get another 11% to make a compulsory purchase. The wording is a clue! Recommend that you accept the offer. They will have to up the offer if everyone rejects £3.00. It is a farce.!
After posting on here the other day it got me so frustrated I sent an e-mail to BlackRock asking them to reconsider their decision. Many will be saying why did I bother. Well I felt I had to try something. I don't have social media accounts so this was the best often. Early days yet but In my heart I don't expect to get a reply. At least I got it off my chest. I don't know the ins and outs of the company. I am an ex-Minco holder. Having BlackRock on board made this a sound investment to me so I stayed with it when it was over one pound. All the rns. sounded very positive so why would you not.? I have found this link today. If anyone feels more confident enough to do something more about it be my guest. Thanks. https://www.londonstockexchange.com/companies-and-advisors/aim/advisers/aim-reg-team/aim-regulation-team.htm
We do look truly stuffed!
Sorry! I have just read the rns. and it saying that BlackRock is voting for this. They must be getting a backhander surely?
Just seen the various posts stating the news as I have not been on for some time because of the disappointing SP for no reason at all. Now I know the reason! Absolute con!!!! Happens so much on aim and nothing is done about it. So much for being regulated better!!! Surely BlackRock are not going to entertain this? They have a huge holding, if anyone is going to fight for our corner they are, bearing in mind they were buying large holdings over a pound. Also what about the shares held by the old Minco company? Quite convenient that Dalr bought out the royalties not so long ago. Do we know when the vote is? Thanks.
will soon be buying again at these levels!
Hi Confu, thanks for the info. I must have read it wrong. I was thinking we should of had them by the 14th Sept.
Does anyone know when we will be receiving these into our account from the Minco deal? I thought we should have received them by now or have I got it wrong?
Yes all looks good! Only a matter of time before it is reflected in the share price!!!
Last day of trading is the 22nd. Other key dates: Listing of the new Dalr shares on TSX/Aim is the 31st.
BlackRock at it again!
When they stipulate the last day of trading on a share as far as I know there is no going back! Thanks, it has been a long wait!!!
No doubt about it! To come out with what we have by giving up 2% royalties is like the sale of the century! When you have been in here as long as I have since 2010 and have seen the high's and nearly your money wiped out ,you are just glad to get your money back. For sure Dalr shares will do well for the reason you mention and "Black Rock" don't put money into something that is going to fail! No response to the news by Dalr shares as yet. I can see them storming away in the not too distant future with good results!
Thanks for that Ardtole. I worked it out about 41 minco for 1 Dalr. They are currently showing a value of 16,700 ish so the 12,500 is way off. I am in two minds to sell! Thanks again!
