GAMA is a growing company with excellent returns on capital employed and a healthy balance sheet. At a forward PE of around 15, 1412 is a good entry point.

BVXP is a small holding for me. I bought a year ago. Then they had a big run-up this year based on a lot of favourable commentary from various sources. I was interested in buying a little more but reckoned I should wait for a pull-back, which indeed happened. I figured that 4250p was a good enough entry point, so I topped up.

The big dip happened a couple of days later, although it has reversed. Who knows how the shares will perform for the rest of the year? That's anyone's guess. But it does show the merit of applying some kind of buy discipline and a little understanding of market dynamics sometimes. In the end it's all just a guess, of course.

Here's one way to look at it: profits are expected to improve. The freecashflow yield on BA is 6.8%, which is greater than the risk-free rate of 5.2%.

I was being sarcastic, of course. This company is a total dog.

"cracking trendlines here for those mulling a punt ..." If by that you mean "trending towards zero" then, yes, it is indeed a "cracking trendline".

I bought yesterday. Not a great way for me to start.

This thing is turning out to be the gift that keeps on giving. I can't believe how it just keeps going up and up and up. My largest shareholding, too. So I'm not ocmplaining :-)

@kenj Now that you mention Mouchel ... this is the company that came to mind when I thought of CHG. MCHL had a fantastic run in growth ... until it didn't. Maybe I'm reading too much into it. There just seems something fishy about this share ... it's had a great growth run, and yet is sits on a measely PER of less than 5. That's odd for an ostensible growth company. The fact that Carlyle lost interest also makes me suspicious that they found something untowards.

According to Sharelock Holmes, dividend yield is 1.42% - but it's not a dividend stock, it's a growth stock. Dividends for next year are projected to be 16.14p, a growth of nearly 30%.

@bonum Ah, so that's why you think it's a buy. Curious. There are 260.4m shares in issue, so the resulting situation after the triggering transaction looks correct. They clearly say they've crossed the 5% threshold, and if their holding was c 6% on 2 aug 2012, then I can only presume that they have mistated the number of shares prior to the triggering transaction.

@jolly RGS is my biggest holding. It's difficult to know for how long the rise will continue in the short term - but at a PER of 8, reasonable debt position, and plenty of growth opportunies at high returns on capital, I'd say there's bags more upside in this badboy.

Blanket, also worth mentioning is that the Putu sale is for $115m (some of which is deferred), which works out at about 75p per share. I expect that AFF also has a net cash position before the deal, too. An excellent risk/reward payoff, in my honest opinion, I can't imagine why anyone would want to sell at these levels.

There's been a few ways of valuing them, but nobody has suggested that they are worth less than 200p. On an industry basis, iron minders are trading at an Enterprise value to Fe of about $0.579/t. AFF is trading at $0.008/t. If AFF traded a comparable basis, it would put AFF at 293p. Plenty more to go :)

Underlying return on sales has edged up, underlying EPS up 9%, 33rd year of sales growth with record profit. Looks good to me. Could surge today given it was completely dumped yesterday.

Down 2% as of writing. Now that's more like it! Good ol' PIC. It never disappoints at disappointing.

Of course, I saw my Google Finance page and say PIC up 303%, and immediately thought aye aye, someone's made a bid for it, should have got in earlier. Must be some kind of mis-recorded trade, or something.

Says there's a trade at 08:31 of 2500 at 280.47p. Weird.
