bid just ticked up to 53p now from 50.5p yesterday. not selling till i see results at least! thank the Lord i have faith in SLV management after a game of golf last wednesday! ok, kidding about da golf.
ask price just rose from 51p to 52p and now at 53.5p but the bid remains at 50.50p...are we about to blow? the MMs certainly don't want anyone buying now...possibly a large order just came in? lol...granted, we shouldn't get excited over such small moves but just wondered is anybody watching?
i think it will hold(fingers crossed) 50p because the informed investor knows Q4 results are less than 2 weeks away...
continuing to rise - perhaps the start of anticipation towards results.
Precious metals group commodities platinum and palladium are set to hugely benefit from the rising auto demand from China and India and low production of these metals in Russia. http://www.commodityonline.com/news/PGMs-driving-up-gold-silver-prices-35609-3-1.html
u know what? that is a good question. i have never held a share all the way before, after a bid confirmation announcement is made. i normally cash in. the actual share price doesn't normally top the bid price. the buyer gets to decide what to do with and how to structure the newly acquired company, usually agreed in terms. as for intel, my guess would be for intel to let IQE run as normal, based on what i have observed after intel acquired infineon wireless.
ed nealon founded AQP which appears to have bounced off a low(as i posted here some days ago) and also founded SLV. he just floated FCR and it is bound to have some serious interest soon. current price quite significantly undervalues their JORC resource.
also, remember that SLV is going to be(or targeting to be) the lowest cost platinum producer in the world and production has been increasing. remind me again why audley is buying? LOL... looking forward to the Q4 production update!
audley has been accumulating for a while. check RNS past few months. interesting that they have passed 13% threshold. i wonder how much of SLV do they want to own? =)
cheers for the compliment, mate. congrats on ORM. btw, i have been researching FCR and i have dipped in - not sure if you saw the pointers i listed on IQE board?
u know what's funny? i was just thinking about asking you the same thing - have u been keeping ya eyes on PVCS? lol...i've missed out on ORM entirely - hope u and uapraiz made good on that one. SLV has always been a long term hold. if they achieve their targets, especially if/when lannex and volspruit comes online, SLV could be as big as AQP, which by the way, could be a good cyclical stock to buy soon. =) this was an absolutely silly rally, rising so fast and dropping so quickly, all within a week. and here's perhaps the reason why :- http://community.nasdaq.com/News/2011-01/morning-platinum-market-report-for-162011.aspx?storyid=51992

nobody seems to want to stay long term in SLV except audley....lol. the figures coming out at the end of this month will hopefully cause the market to pay more attention.
rather disappointing. such great potential, good management, good financials, good PGM forecast but currently ignored by the market, only good enough for short trades, even with Q4 results coming out within 3 weeks, which is bound to be good! wake up people! ok, enough ramping.
any idea of a plan to raise production a.s.a.p. or when all dredges will be in fully operational? can't seem to find news of this anywhere, specific to a certain date as a target. the overdue contracts from 2010 flowing into 2011 will cause the share price to continue being depressed or maybe even drift lower until those contracts are cleared and they can sell at current titanium prices. i'm assuming this is why KMR rose but not TXR. so the sooner they can ramp up production and increase revenue, the better. but i can't seem to find any targeted time frame or month. if production continues as they currently do, i don't foresee any movement here for the next 6 months, assuming TXR can successfully clear the backlog of 34,000 tonnes within 6 months. anybody seen any management declaration on time frames to increase production rates?
latest news from johnson matthey on the auto sector :- http://www.platinum.matthey.com/media-room/news-room/china-us-important-to-automakers-in-2011/800321877.html and spot platinum still on a bullish trend. good to go for the moment. =)
got bitten a little bit in the last one week in stupid gambles and when that happens, i tend to want to cash in to recover what i lost...LOL. i am aware of the potential here though so it's a tough call. as long as we are bullish, it would only be silly to sell. i think share price could keep rising till Q4 production figures are out - doesn't look like there will be any bad surprises so far. i hope a rally till 70p at least. some reports are saying platinum could even hit USD$2000...
another 25K buy towards closing. i'm guessing this buyer is the reason the share price is rising. i've resisted top slicing today(phew!) and now just noted the ask has risen another pence... =)
someone is accumulating in 25K blocks of shares. hold. platinum is on an uptrend, hopefully catches up with palladium's outstanding performance.
in one of the samples collected from gindusa 2 years ago, the returned results among them was 209 g/t au when 10 g/t would've already been commendable. at an older vein known as latovo, it was 300g/t among some of their samples. MVC may still turn out to be a dud at worse case scenario, but i doubt it. i hope u know what u are doing! =) you could have some miners out there reopening old gold mines but it was rather hard to know what kind of results could come of their exploration, but there is quite a lot on the net about reservoir capital and orogen gold. phase 1 is now fully funded so even when it comes to capital fundraising, there isn't much to worry about in the mean time. only news in january and february.
