But as you don’t seem to get that, I do believe DRX decisions are based on that, if you agree that electricity supply is seasonal and demand increases in the winter then investment decisions can be made on that! Show me a FTSE 250 company that isn’t owned by institutions, what’s your point?

Me too, DRX always goes down in summer when everyone forgets that we need electricity, then when the lights go out in winter everyone realises that DRX is a major contributor to the the grid. That’s like asking if electricity has a future? Doh!

I think we all feel like that sometimes Woodstock, it’s just par for course as they say. Mine tend to take 12 months + to come to fruition, I dare most people tend to feel like that, patience is the key.

I will also add that LastCall was very helpful to me yesterday, thank you. So I’d say give him a chance. I’m long on VOD like most on here but only just bought my first lot in June pre divi and then some more after, down at 177. If it goes down to 150, that will be due to divi cut I suspect.

Daniel I think we could learn from LastCall to be honest, at least he’s prepared to state his position and reasons why. You just need to look beyond the rhetoric. I don’t even mind been called a TT, I think it’s funny!

Like the banter with snip it’s of technical oversight. Most don’t get though, think your undermining their positions. Markets go two ways, never in a straight line and up isn’t always followed by down or visa versa, learnt that shorting the FTSE when it first reached 7000! Always learning you see, I’m in VOD, but only recently half before divi half after, so I’m up ATM, but could go down not bothered though, I can add, stick or fold my choice! I think Drax is in for tumble over the next week or so, nearly at year high, have look and let me know what you think!

It’s a free world, anyone can post anything, if you choose to read or listen that’s up to you, you can even throw your toys out the pram too. But I will say this, you need to have a balanced view of the world and dot just **** out people who you disagree with. Oh and Tom, thanks for the calc that everyone else did 10 hrs ago.

I’ve heard good things about AJ Bell, if I had my choice again I’d probably go with them. I’ve recommended to a few guys too who seem pleased. Cheaper then HL who I’m with, but can’t be bothered swapping. You gonna set up a SiPP then LC? Might you put some Vod shares into it?

I suspect there’s a 10% or minimum £1 deal charge on reinvestment plus stamp/tax. So that probably around £8.50 ish, which means that little reinvestment cost Costa around 10-11% of his dividend! Oops!

Costa do you see a charge for stamp duty and commission/broker fees? That could be why. I don’t auto reinvest anything, better to take the cash and when you’ve added other divi income and top ups, to build up a cash reserve then purchase new shares in whatever you fancy, be it Vod or something else, that reduces dealing fees and tax.

I don’t think I can argue with that conclusion LC very astute.
