Hopefully it will be a very big day
Fantastic new, we are getting closer.
Drum, my thoughts exactly.
I don't think big companies would spend so much time and money researching a company such as AGL which is relatively high risk for what they normally do, to just sell for a 5% gain. The spread and how difficult it would be to sell millions of shares would make them not be able to sell for 5% I would say they want a much bigger return than 5%.
I think it's excellent that legal and general have taken a chunky stake
Yeah I'm on twitter, but I don't use it much. I didn't know there are groups on it. I follow agl but that's about it as that's all I hold at the moment.
I find the advfn BB more informative, you still sometimes get people who don't know what they are talking about obviously. But as a general rule it is good.
AN said about not being out of this share at around 55p not 80p the price went to around 80p a few weeks later after some good news was released. I'll never understand why people can be so disillusioned with a share and still hold, if you genuinely believe the price is going down, surely it would be stupid to not sell right away. You clearly aren't a very decisive investor. If you have a loser then get rid before you lose more.
Why are you bothered? I'm assuming you don't hold any more if you are that negative about it.
It's ok, brestocks is most likely an elderly gentleman who spends his days trolling boards. It's quite clear to everyone else you don't expect agl to suddenly list on NASDAQ. But he/she feels the need to mention your mistake. In 11 days when we are at 82p nothing will be said, and brestocks will either be high or low with the prospect of what might come.
We do have a listing on the us market though. So it would be more like a move from aim to ftse. Which does happen.
If all angle did was carry on with the ovarian trial and sales, then no, there is no more cash needed. If they choose to grow massively by doing 1 or 2 more clinical trials then yes we will need more money. However the price now is 78.5p without news of more clinical trials, and news of the trials will be announced before fundraising /joint venture. So IMO we want fundraising because it's not going to be massively discounted, we'll also get a part of it, and more importantly we will be making progress. What's a 10% dilution for a £2 billion trial?
Haha, I know, it was terrible, also around the same time I put 6k in Pan Pacific Aggregates, they suspended the day after I bought the because of a reverse takeover, they were suspended for 6 months and the takeover failed and they spent all their money on it, they had to quadruple shares in issue and I sold for around £1000. It was about 4 years ago now but it was my least profitable time I've ever had doing this. They were the only times I've tried to ride a big wave up, for quick money. Luckily most of it was profit from other trades, normally I invest in well researched companies.
I bought SAR a few years ago put 6k in within half an hour they had halved and over the next couple of weeks they kept falling, I finally gave in and sold for about £1100 the next day they tripled in price! Now that's bad luck!! But hopefully you'll manage to get back in at some point and you'll still make money, I see AGL as a major long term play but there is also room for short term gains. So even if you have to pay over £1 to get back in, I think eventually that will turn out to be cheap. Good luck with your house :-)
I don't think we'll get news during the day, we haven't had update news during the day for over 2 years, so I think we're more likely to get it at 7am one morning soon.
The FDA coming at anytime ties in with what AN told me about news due anytime isn't just from the KOL. We all know this rises fast, I'd love to be buying here and not at 79p like I did but based on chart history and previous news I'm surey buy will ve safe
The people bailing at 56p know just as much as the people who bought at £1. There will always be people who follow the crowd, but in reality no-one really knows. All we can do is go by the facts we know, and as far as I'm aware they are all positive, that is why I have no intention of selling unless those facts change.
i don't think there is a reason, some people think that there is often a drop just before news to allow people in the know to pick up cheap shares, i don't know if that is true or not though. I've seen it happen a lot of times but it could just be coincidental. News on M D Anderson or sales, (both of which are due any time), if we get either of these and it is positive it will make the intraday movements of 3-4% seem small. Everything we have heard and seen from AGL so far has been good so hopefully they will continue that trend.
Obviously my main argument was how much of his money he has invested, and the amount of time he has spent developing it.
