Joint action4 Nov 2025 09:39
Hi I am caught up in the same situation with UUUU shares not tradeable. My BSE \UUUU are held with Hargreaves and Lansdown and i have been on their case since April. The shares are in my account but non tradeable The response was really non-committal and i have kept on at them even tried threating FCA and potential legal action but really need a joined up approach. Just dont want to see the gains dissapear and there is a general feeling "where there is blame there is a claim". Latest response 16 Oct HL: Our Findings
On 25 April 2025, we sent you a communication regarding the outcome of the Base Resources Ltd Scheme of Arrangement. In that message, we outlined that the underlying custodian (HSBC) of the shares needed to clarify an error with Equiniti the registrar and re-register the shares, which has caused a delay. We also highlighted that we would contact you once the shares became available to trade. However, this has not yet occurred, as the re-registration process is still ongoing, and despite frequent contact from us with HSBC we have not been able to get them to complete the process.
It is pertinent to note that we will try to take steps to ensure corporate actions are processed as swiftly as possible. However, in this instance, we do not have the authority to re-register the shares ourselves and we are reliant on our third-party custodian, and we must await completion on HSBC’s side.
Please be assured that our Corporate Actions team is actively chasing this matter. Once we have sufficient information, we will provide a timely update to our clients.
Although mindful of your disappointment, I hope the above goes someway in explaining our position.
