Good point on the CBS. After a few weeks plastered on that raising awareness of William hill, the expected announcement has got to be a US share issue. I’m just interested too see what impact that would have on our SP. Anyone any idea? Or came across a similar scenario in past?

Do you anticipate a second wave impacting sports again? I’m a bit like yourself analysing and looking to maximise returns, but not wanting to take 100% out as I think there’s going to be a sharp rise this month and next given the return of EPL & US sports (I believe).

Big issue with UK is there doesn’t seem to be any UK agenda. The rest of the world has COVID to deal with, we have Brexit on top of that.

We are like sitting ducks waiting for someone else to take the lead so we can tag along! A company like BT should never be speculated for takeover by any foreign or domestic PE firm!

I jumped on this given the speculation as I thought it was possible takeover would occur, given that its vital to UK infrastructure and very cheap!

Unless a source of direction comes from within the UK, with a strong pro-UK business agenda then I think most FTSE companies will struggle to regain value, particularly a company like BT were most, if not all operations are in the UK.

Love things like this! Confidence & commitment returning to the UK economy!

In a changing world, I’m not confident any UK committee would fully scrutinise a takeover of BT!

A few handshakes and deals on the golf course this would be overlooked.

The board made a plea for help & have been met with silence for over a week? KKR stand for nothing but profit, I think they’ll be testing the boundaries pretty soon!

From my understanding, BETZ ETF would buy shares in WH uk listed & several other betting/gaming companies, create a fund. Investors would trade in that fund.

My guess is WIMHY do something similar but only trade in WH shares.

There is no WH US listed company yet! Not sure if there will be if it gets taken private!

I think it’s madness people cashing in on this so soon, just looking at the sells to buys 2:1 for today.

Also, with US elections coming up, is there a preference for WH as a company to side with? Joe Asher seems Pro-Biden, but has either party indicated support or further regulation on the US sports book industry?

Any update on completion/delays/issues?

Much contingent on Europe’s football leagues starting back on 12th September + American sports!

All goes right way, I think £2+ by September. Light at end of tunnel, stronger than pre-COVID, with no dividends then increase in capital gains. Stimulus packages will also push up equity prices!
