Lets also throw in some more bad news in that the AIST has crept up to $1650, leaving a gross profit of $2100 per Oz, and then lets assume that production fails to reach forecasts and only comes in at 265,000 oz.

265,000 x 2100 = 556,500, meaning that the FY26 gross profit of $556,000 will only just exceed the FY25 gross revenues of $540,000.

Not being an expert, I did wonder why so many satellites are required, but I guess Musk has got his sums right.

There are 5 million claimed subscribers as of the end of 24, with 10 million estimated by the end of this year.

30 minutes browsing the internet will utilise dozens of satellites as the call is passed on to the next nearest in the constellation.

I`m not sure why you are concerned with the distance from earth, the 25 m/s delay is not of any importance, and signal decay only really occurs in the troposphere, so 10kms horizontal or vertical presents the same problems.

HAP`s are an answer looking for a question, and have no real payload capability, there are challenges keeping them in the air at the correct height and in position.

I did wonder if there is surplus capacity, perhaps it is required to realise the autonomous car concept, or just available to lease?

I also have doubts that the satellites are EMP proof?

I believe the whole Telecom sector is undervalued, for some reason the market has decided to drive their valuations down to rock bottom. It isn't just Vodafone and BT that's been shunned by the market. Not so many years ago there's no way Vodafone and Three would have been allowed to merge, but all of a sudden they're allowing it. I believe the market will eventually rerate the sector upward, in the meantime I'll just keep collecting dividends while I wait.

I `m afraid the markets have seen Starlink coming, and are unsure of a future for terrestrial mast systems.

SpaceX is currently deploying Starlink satellites at a rate perhaps unseen since the building of B17`s & Liberty ships during WW2, 130 including 52 direct to cell, since 29th December 2024, to join the 5.000 already in orbit.

Early cellphone front runners Motorola. Marconi fell by the wayside, overtaken by advancing technology, though sat phones may have preceded cellphones, but SpaceX have made delivery financially viable.

I have dumped my VOD holding this week, and will avoid the sector in future.

Good luck in the future, but VOD share price has been on the same trajectory since March 2000.
