That helps a lot and is in line with my research. The IG account and trading costs, app and website customer reviews and available share markets and tools like the training programs, make it look very good in comparison. Add in their current offer of cash on transfers and it seems to be the way to go.

Hi all,

Sorry if this bothers anyone but I am wondering what peoples thoughts are on the best UK trading platforms and or SIPP providers? I am currently trading (ISA and general stocks and shares) with HL and whilst at a general level I am OK with them I find their website and app clunky at times and also their costs seem high compared to competitors. I am also thinking of moving my pension out of AVIVA and into another SIPP provider, mostly because I think AVIVA is expensive. Possibly I could use a combined provider and I have done some research which is leaning me towards IG.

So any advice and thoughts welcome, should I stay as is or should I go and if I should go who do you rate most highly.

And to finish, I am an active investor in RR with an ave buy price of £2.50 so I am very pleased with Turbo T and the rest of the team and enjoy very much the positive and useful info that I monitor with this chat group. The abuse and infighting I am not much of a fan of :-)

To be fair to MF, in late 2023 one of their headline grabbing snips on RR got my attention. I usually delete and move on but in this instance I got interested and did a Google search and after some basic research this LSE forum popped up. It was then after further research and reading the chat on here from the likes of NTC, Svend, Shareflyer, Badland, Cev and many others that I took my first dip into adding RR to my portfolio.

I have added along the way as the odd share dip and cash became available and I am now sitting on a nice pile which is 4x my investment. In addition to that I have also learnt a great deal about investing from this and other LSE chat forums which I am applying to other opportunities.

So a small thanks must go from me to MF, but a massive thanks must go to the previously mentioned RR LSE chat members.

And in case your wondering, I have sold a small amount this morning to take some cream, but I am holding on for the longer term as I feel sure that this journey has a long way to go yet.

I found this quite interesting and informative in researching competitive conditions for RR. I am not suggesting that it is gospel on the subject, but it is useful input on an important question, especially for LTH investors.

I agree completely, don't panic.

And BTW, if someone had told me a month ago that we would be sitting in the range of £7.50, I would have laughed and been very very happy. I remember a month ago this forum was still debating if NTC's forecast of £7 would come through!

I am a bit sad that I don't have some spare cash to buy some more...

That's exactly what I have done Dickbat. My initial buys where at the 2p range, and I have continued to top up my holding and now average 1.06p.

All I can say is WOW....and a massive thanks to NTC, Svend and many others for the sensible messaging on this forum over the last couple of years since I first invested in RR!!

Just read this article on Proactive Investors, not a lot that is new but I found the last sentence quite interesting.

"There might be questions at the results about whether the company might emulate recent plans by US industrial conglomerate Honeywell to break itself up."

As a holder of Honeywell I think it makes sense for them, but wondered what other wiser folk on this forum think about this for RR?
