Ah... ye newcomers with so much faith..
I have held Provident / Vanquis shares since 2017. I believed way back then that they were undervalued at £5ish per share, they dropped further. During the start of covid they dropped sub £1 and I literally ploughed every penny I had into them and forgot about them for a bit. Made some nice money when they rebounded. Since then whenever they have dropped I have purchased some more, when they dropped below 50p I dumped everything and put the lot on Vanquis.
Yes they are seriously undervalued, yes they are seriously unloved by the markets. But they are worth so much more. I wish to god I had £140m, I would buy them outright, cancel the loan book and liquidate the company for the £700m they have set aside for regulators.
They are now starting to turn a reasonable profit, at the very least this share should be £3 per share. At the very LEAST.
And perhaps it is time that this was reflected in the value, however never ever underestimate just how this share can be affected by bad news, it is very much an unloved former darling of the exchange.
