I think when JA visited Cameroon the plan was for a cabinet reshuffle early January so thats likely what he was told at the time hence the RNS statement. Since then Biya has made a U turn and delayed this instead preferring to change the Constitution an appoint a Vice President first. In politics U turns are common place I mean just look at Keir Starmer the king of political U turns!! At least Biya has only made one.

As such all departments are not subject to any staff changes so back working at full pace so there is absolutely no reason for further delay in processing the outstanding approvals delayed by the election. This is a positive for TRP so I would expect this any day especially now that the Yoyo-Yolanda deal is done.

Currently no cabinet reshuffle has been announced and is on hold until the constitution is changed and a new vice president is announced. Departments are now more importantly now back up and running with MINMIDT back to business also following last nights ministry gathering so I would not expect the lack of an immediate cabinet shuffle to prevent the imminent approval from being processed. With 11 Presidential decrees issued in the last 7 days being a good indicator of things getting moving within the government and the subsequent public calls for decrees that show genuine investment in jobs and development projects can only assist our cause.

Some reports stating the cabinet reshuffle is on hold for the time being as Biya looking to first change constitution to reinstate a Vice President role...maybe he needs a trusted ally alongside him prior to any reshuffle to strengthen his hand. This stay of execution could mean that the government departments could resume some normal function in the interim as being Cameroon I would imagine changing the constitution and appointing a Vice President will take time as everything else seems to.

On the ultimate intended reshuffle if the 'leaked lists' and reports online are to be believed then Prof Fuh Calistus Gentry current acting head of MINMIDT is tipped on most to be made permanent head of MINMIDT in any reshuffle. If this is true then at least there looks to be continuity in the department we are currently reliant upon for our final approval. GLA

38MMbbls is at current oil prices is worth circa £2.28 billion and the profit income from this will turbo charge this companies exploration on multiple other areas including Namibia and South Africa acreages but especially in Cameroon where the Dissoni South/ Idenao fields are estimated alone to hold 111MMbbls contingent with Perenco already successfully commercially drilling the linked field of Dissoni North which is small in comparison with only 25MMbbls.

As stated previously I dont think JA is able to provide an formal RNS update on his Cameroon visit due to the information provided to him (and Prime) during this visit. I firmly believe both parties were given a physical approval date/ timescale and that this must be fairly imminent. I certainly wouldnt be leaving Cameroon without this level of info at this late stage.

Maybe Primes mention of the 'brief but significant interaction' with the presidents right hand man was a hint at this. If so it cant be a date/ timescale that would threaten a Q1 Drill or an RNS would have been required so sounding more like this will arrive this month.

I think that between JA and Prime this update via Prime was agreed as a loose (back door RNS) update not from a serving company officer to keep the markets fed ahead of news inbound.
