Plasterer - RBG are in a completely different market and as a business model are poles apart from Wetherspoons. Far from closing pubs, RBG have just acquired the Peach Pubs chain. An excellent acquisition, very busy and classy pubs.

Agreed, it's a derisory offer in my opinion, will hopefully trigger a counter offer. There are plenty of VC companies in US with money to spend.

Someone is accumulating, price is being held to fill on order imo. Suspect Stonegate will have another go at 120p saving themselves 100p per share compared to their previous attempt to buy RBG.

A nice start to 2020, Stonegate revisiting maybe? They should be able to pick them up cheaper than 200p offered last time.

Weak GBP and undervalued share price, my prediction for the next GNK with 30-40% premium from here. Just saying :)

Will be interesting to see how this plays out given that the last update stated that earnings were in line with expectations. Hopefully the City chaps are running the rule over them pre announcement and filling their boots before Thursday (wishful thinking).
