I contacted LSE on Wednesday about their incorrect listing of De Haan's purchase of 341,415 Saga shares at 292.90 on 16th November as a 'sold' and they have now corrected that BUT they still have his total holdings at zero!!

For anyone who missed seeing or looking up looking up Batfasted link to the FT: It noted that among other points made about Saga, "the 4 analysts offering 12 month price targets for Saga PLC have a median target of 441.50, with a high estimate of 625.00 and a low estimate of 400.00. The median estimate represents a 50.99% increase from the last price of 292.40."

The deaths figures do not indicate that Omicron is not'milder'. Omicron is much more infective, therefore you would expect death figure to rise somewhat. You have to look at the the proportion of deaths among those who contracted the Omicron variant against the proportion of those who contracted the previous variant and died. The statisticians did this and concluded that the Omicron variant IS milder than previous variant.

@selecta6 I doubt very much that insurance and travel will suffer much if at all from these things.

Some interesting after hours deals: 13,000 for £50.97k (@£3.92); 10,718 for £42.03K (@£3.92); and 3,750 for £14.47K (@£3.86). Should open higher in the morning?

Their long-term projections are muddied with the omission, and allowance for, the 15:1 consolidation.

Trades on the Lse website -- theres's a gap in listed trades between 9:14 and 9:28. My one was at 9:18. Odd, or not usual?

Since you stuck with your second instinct, do tell us what it is the government is lying about and why they are doing so. If you have trouble answering that sensibly, with the evidence, then just admit that this is only your 'gut feeling'.

The proportion of older people who are obese is much smaller than you might think. Official stats show of those aged 65+ just around 30% are obese.

Alas, it doesn't. The article and the figures relate to the whole group, not split by age.

I think the 52% rate referred to the whole group; the higher figure applied to the older group/s.

Why only the 80+ group, and why only by Easter? The 80+ UK population constitute just 3.4m individuals, a large proportion of whom have already had, or will have had by the end of this week, their first vaccination (giving 91% protection). The 70s group constitute another 5.7m. The 60s group another 7.1m. Easter is just over 12 weeks away. (Re-) do the maths -- lots of vaccinated, healthy, retired folk -- not just the 80+ -free to cruise!
