Ben Richardson, CEO at SulNOx, confident they can cost-effectively decarbonise commercial shipping. Watch the video here.
we’ll soon be able to have that 30p party that David Breith was always on about. I also saw a presentation from FB where he was confident of turning this into a £5 a share company, I think 5p would have been more accurate, shocking management for years now
And what happened to all the millions in cash they were sat on from the Redstone sale? Very worried about the cash burn here
After reading all the conflicting opinions, and enduring the rollercoaster ride over the last few weeks, I’m in desperate need of a holiday......just not sure if I can afford it after my losses ;-)
You’re most welcome, although not as great and insightful as your posts tho pal ;-)
Bear with me on this.....In the early 90’s I owned a VW Beetle that was a runner but in need of a fair bit of attention, it was probably only worth £400 complete. I stripped it and sold the engine to someone who wanted an engine, the chassis to someone who wanted a chassis, the interior to someone who wanted an interior and so on until it was all sold and got about £1200 in total. This money then helped me in my next venture. I hope the airline sale is done in this manner as I believe it will generate more money and enable Tcg to concentrate on building a large portfolio of own brand hotels as I reckon there’s bigger margins tonbe made here in the future. Just my thoughts and holding firm for now
I don’t think any comparisons should be made between the proposed sale af Tcg airline business and what happened at Flybe as Tcg are only offering out a part of their business so I very much doubt the price will drop to 1p. Also I don’t believe that no news is necessarily bad news as until a bid or statement of intent is received there is nothing to warrant a further RNS on this and, as already mentioned, there is no way the banks will be controlling this. I am focused on the move to re-aligning the business, owning their own brand hotels etc. and then getting a decent price for some or all of the airline will be a welcome bonus.
Tcg are changing strategy by moving into more and more own brand hotels to increase their profit stream and they are openly considering moving away from the airline business in some or all parts. I feel this is a good idea but it may take some time for the share price to reflect these changes. I wouldn’t worry about airlines failing as it is all about survival of the fittest and there are plenty out there who will happily take up the slack, whether TCG falls into that category only time will tell. I’m holding with confidence
Tui have been hammered on Rip Off Britain over the past couple of weeks whereas Tcg got a couple of positive mentions. Seems to me like Tui are getting a growing reputation for bad customer service, experienced it myself last year after an 8 hr delay at Manchester, had to jump through hoops to get my compo off them. Hopefully it may start to put people off booking with them and they jump over to Tcg
8 hrs with 2 kids could have been a nightmare but we got through it ok, in a weird way I quite like airports, I think it's the anticipation and excitement of going away. Also the thought of the compensation helped me keep my sanity!!! I'm sure there will be occasions when they do try and fit in other flights to maximise the planes usage this makes good business sense and is all well and good as long as it does not affect the planes safety or other people's people's holidays. I can't see them taking many risks with this as continued delays will create unwanted bad press and be negative in the long term. All said, we may both just have been very unlucky with technical issues.
Menorca not Mallorca
2 weeks ago I went to Mallorca with TUI (yes I felt a bit of a traitor as I have been a Tcg holder for years) and had an 8hr delay at Manchester. It was also due to plane breakdown. Your experience and treatment was very bad and was even more unlucky as you had problems both ways and you should vent your frustration with TCG. I have flown with TC many times and never had any issues. Don't give up on them as you say the holiday itself was great so they are getting most things right. Also, regarding the compensation claims, these claims make no financial impact on the company in any way as the amounts involved are minuscule compared to turnover etc. they will also have insurance cover for these issues. Keep the faith. P.s. My claim is in with TUI
Don't worry about the traditional post results drop, look at where we were only 3 weeks ago, we would need a 20% drop to get back there which is highly unlikely
Doesn't seem too bad to me, a lot of positives and a fairly upbeat statement. Tcg is definitely going in the right direction, just hope the share price continues to go with it.
I feel that TCG is attracting more confidence nowadays as it seems to be being run very well and definitely going in the right direction so hopefully no more unexpected falls on updates like the old rollercoaster days.
Good results from TUI, hopefully that will give TCG an extra boost with confidence in the sector
That's a bit unfair, rustybucket was only explaining why he doesn't post here anymore after someone asked where all the regulars had gone, if I remember rightly he was a regular contributor a while back.
with results, steady and going in the right direction, good to see Turkey and Condor recovering too, hoping that confidence is restored and a gradual sustained rise is on the cards. Good appointments to the board shows that Tcg is looking to continue to strengthen its position. Onwards and upwards imo
Not sure why the sudden rise, not seen anything in the news, maybe people showing confidence in a good update, I'm just hoping this can now push back above £1 and stay there. Although the price dropped and stalled after Harriet Green left I really think the board have got TCG on the right track and in a much healthier position now. Should be much higher than today's price imo
Blimey that was good of the company to release an RNS within 6 minutes of me asking my question, very efficient!! Decent set of expectations shows Reds is definitely going in the right direction. Hopefully start to recover some of my loses from the Coms days
Anyone know if final results will be due soon as yr end was 03rd Feb?
