I can't see a N Brown situation right now because of Mike Ashley owning such a big chunk of this. Boohoo is trending down, as is ASOS and others. I suspect SHEIN and co would be interested as well. The current market cap is a rounding error for SHEIN. You might even get ASOS trying to acquire Boo at that point. Then again who knows.

Boo needs to get on with it. Start by announcing the date for the Interim Results.

Campaign to make it level playing field. Make Shein and Temu play by UK rules, like Donald is trying to do with them in the US. Shein and Temu are miles worse than Boo, Asos, etc in terms of labour policies, carbon footprint, etc.

Don't know about RR. Boo seems depressed. Part of it's the Kamani family's control over it. Part their ruck with Mike Ashley. Part of it's the macro environment. Part policy.

It wouldn't be hard manipulate the price with how small the free float is on Boo, and with some of the companies circling it.

On the other hand, if Ukraine/Russia agree to a truce then these shares could fly, provided we're allowed to buy Russian Oil/Gas again which would bring energy costs down. Then if the UK Government holds Shein and Temu to the same standards it does for UK brands then we'll really be cooking.

Shares have to be acquired to close a short position. That means less shares in circulation. It also means there’s a belief that there’s less downside, otherwise they would hold on to the short position until it hits a more favourable price. Closing a short position isn’t driving this.

Ennismore reducing their short position means they would have brought a bunch of shares. So why would the share price go down?

Boohoo's annual GMV run rate for the year ending February 2024 was £1,809m

Boo management will be in a lock-up period if they are going to provide an update in November. It'll might get very explosive after that, I'm sure the Kamani family can collectively buy up a large chunk of shares at the current price if they wanted to blocking Mike Ashley. They also have a lot of rich friends who might invest if there's a view on divesting some of the brands and releasing value in the near-term.

If Mike Ashley wants to be the CEO then Boo should ask him to step-down from the Fraser's Group board and make Boo his sole focus. They could add all sorts of conditions which he would not agree to and which will make him look bad.

I didn't expect any update on this until after they sunk the share next week Half Year Results.

Superdry still has a lot of stock they can fire-sell and then it's a case of trying to reduce the stock they hold like Zara does.

You should e-mail the full board. They have a duty, even if JD doesn't the other should execute their fiduciary duty.

I think JD purposely spoiled the well with the comment about the material discount and delisting fear. I wonder if the board watered down his original comment or printed it in full and I wonder how they feel about it.

The best thing Superdry can do is officially put itself up for sale and start taking bids. Who knows they might be able to salvage a bid double or triple of the current market cap.
