The only other option is one of the other drillships currently in contract with a MAJOR in the GoM!
Monk :D
Reposted for Londonwhale's benefit (Rig data from seadrill current contracts last night).
I used to play a game where i filled in 5x5 grids with ticks and ruled out not possibles from the clues supplied. I have now come to the conclusion based on this experience thaat the ONLY Seadrill rig is the West Saturn. In the podcast SP said it was a 'dual drill' (one tick there), so it must be a drillship. He said it was the latest generation and was built in 2014, (few more ticks there). Cross out the currently employed drillships (lots of crosses there), and finally, what is left.... only one tick..... the West Saturn :D

I'd go with 'Edge of Tomorrow' because thats where we are now. Absolutely cracking film with Tom Cruise at his best. Live, Die Repeat.......
or....Live, Cancel Drill, Repeat........
We always win in the end, time isunder our control and this drill won't be cancelled, well not this time round I hope.....
Monk ;)
3:1 buys to sells with 20m traded already. No leaks or virus here, just usual AIM MM shenanigans!
Monk :)
Sorry Prospect-, that's not far enough from the UK
Monk ;)
As it seems that today was a selling day (even though the buy volume outstripped the sell volume) can anyone where me where I can sell my wife, I need to free up some more cash.
Monk :)
Yes Linton,
He's a moron who enjoys abusing other posters. Also known as 'The Messiah' and 'The Specialist' to name a couple of his aliases. Put him on ignore or report any abusive posts. Let's keep these muppets off our board.
Monk :)
Well Glide and IK, compared to her this is most certainly not a whine, she's in a league of her own. IK, glad you're enjoying my wife's other skills, wondered why I don't get any fun time with her any more, you're stealing my monthly slot!
Monk :(
Lol Sol,
That rates as one of the most epic re-RNS's ever. Jesus would have been impressed!
Monk :)
If this gets to 50p a share at any point i'm out with enough to clear my debt, pay off my mortgage and buy a new car. I might even cut my losses, divorce the wife and move out to Oz. Depends on what sort of mood I'm in. I hate whingers so still can't understand why I got married in the first place!
Monk :(
Been there with Rockhopper, burnt accordingly, lesson learnt and won't make the same mistake again.
Monk :P
Ok guys, before I press on with this I'm going to say that this share is my retirement hope with almost 500k shares held. Everything looks good, the pieces are lining up nicely on the proverbial chess board, but one thing is bugging me that everyone seems to have forgotten.
The Bahamas Government promised a national referendum after this drill, the exploration drill being a prerequisite for said referendum. So, assuming we find a sh@tload of oil with our drill which is most definately my hope, what happens if the referendum is a flop and we don't get the go-ahead to progress further?
Indeed, more to the point, would a Major take the risk of signing a deal with us PRIOR to the drill if there was a risk that things would fall to pieces due to the Bahamaian People foolishly deciding that drilling further holes would not be in the Nation's best interests?
I'm not deramping in any way, this is a personal concern that is hanging over me like a grey cloud. Please, constructive answers......
Monk :P
Hi nobblenogs, nice to see you back active again. I also bailed from iii after it went to the totally unusable web pages. I was with a few shares but definitely remember you. I posted with BPC when Alan burns was still in charge (RIP). Did you not post on Rockhopper too?

It doesn't matter what the governments say about going green or becoming carbon neutral, its all lies. Scotland, under the management of the fasciist Nicola Krankie, have been promoting the best enviromentally friendly government in Europe. Yeah, granted we have a lot of wind turbines, but thats being heavily offset by the 'new' 40 year old 125 HST's with a lick of paint. They do 0.6 MPG and we have 60 of the power cars running in service or spare. It takes 30 seconds to fill our maintenance sheds up with enough smoke to look like the M40 on a nice foggy day even with new extractor fans fitted. This is apparently the future of Scotrail!
My point I guess, is that regardless of what governments say, they will do what suits them and be conservative with the truth when it hurts them. Oil and fossil fuels are here for the next 50 years and probably longer.
Wind turbines are useless when its not windy, solar panels are useless when its not sunny, green energy is good but not reliable. Electric vehicles required fossil fuels for plastic trims, upholstery materials, rubber tyres, lubricating parts, eco battery and engine manufacture, the list goes on and on....
AIMHO tho......

you can still get the dark chocolate tunnocks wafers here in scotland and also the dark bountys. I think B&M do them both along with the yorkies with raisins and biscuit and frys chocolate creams.....yummy!
Why not, realistically a market cap is only calculated by multiplying the total number of a company's outstanding shares by the current market price of one share.
The true value of a company doesn't relate to its market value, there are a whole load of other variables factored in and thats where the share value comes in. I don't think any of us could ever accurately work it out, thats an analysts job.
Take BP as an example. They have a diverse portfolio of not just oil reserves but thousands of different sources yet they're at £5 a share, have a market cap of 95Bn, 20Bn shares with 20 Bn proven reserves. They have incomes and expenditures in a ratio that BPC will unlikely ever have but does that market cap relate to the company's true value...probably not.
If we discover oil, and can prove the value of this region (with a potential upside of 28 Bn barrels of oil) then who knows....
I'll pray for £1 or £2 any day....fingers crossed
Monk
Ha,
After waiting so many years to get this far, we're all old enough to need a bit of lubricant!
Monk :P
