Good question. I would say the urgency to find a way out of this global pandemic (hopefully once in a lifetime) deserves a significant premium on what will be very large revenues. Hence the Market Capitals are justified.

Remember the political context. Who have had their funding withdraw and its under investigation for bias to China in covering the pandemic.

They are keen to show they still count. Using ifs and maybes is not going to wash. Many countries tried to use herd immunity as strategy instead of lockdown. So having antibodies are key to see how the virus is spreading, when to ease lockdown and ultimately a vaccine and blood therapy treatment.
