Transocean Leader has secured a new assignment.

The rig will be awarded a job on three wells for Hurricane Energy in the Greater Warwick area. This agreement will start in March next year.

Prior to this, the device will perform operations for Enquest, with scheduled start-up now in September and up to January.

The rig has previously worked in Norway, but left from the Norwegian Continental Shelf in 2014.

After that, it has been back for a shipyard stay at Westcon in Ølen.

It was me, i found the original photo on Instagram which looked genuine so i asked a few other people their opinion before i posted anything.

It was me, who asked them not to reveal the source of my information for fear that if it was plastered all over a public bulletin board any other little snippets of info may not be so forthcoming in the future. Also, although i have no moral duty to protect the source i would hate to think that i was responsible for him losing his job or getting reprimanded because of it.

The original poster also posted a video of the lifeboats being launch which was shared on here.

Both posts have now been removed from his Instagram account.

Edvard Grieg South (also known as Rolvsnes) was discovered in 2009 by well 16/1-12 and appraised in 2015 by well 16/1-25S. It is the first potentially commercial discovery in basement reservoir in Norwegian waters, so its development is the subject of considerable technical interest but there are no close Norwegian analogues to draw upon. Apart from the nearby 16/1-15 well, the next nearest significant discovery in basement reservoir is some 370 km WNW at the Lancaster discovery, in the UK West of Shetland area, which is also undeveloped at the present time.
