The share price has been savaged and the market has spoken, a huge change to happen which I am sure we will be discussing very soon.
I have a very big holding here and have been in over seven years and was actually posting on the first ever page of APC posts back when the components had just issued a warding due to exchange rate fluctuations. I was also part of the group that took around 1.2m shares from David Elbourne in early 2013 when came onto the BB to offload his holding. The current share price is hurting me badly on paper.
APC has come a long way and there is no major disaster here, it is still really well positioned. What is needed is the financial control and discipline around which will come. Increasing revenue is one thing, but we now need to strengthen financial controls to turn that into profits. However this is much easier to do when you have the revenue and potential for economies. This will be the next stage in this story.
Whatever you decide to do good luck, the AIM market can be very brutal, but we all make our own bed.
In the broker note 28/05 Cantor Fitzgerald had APC down for £32.9m Revenue this year and a PBT loss of 100k. Next year revenue £41.2m with a Profit BT of £1m and in 2017 Revenue £49.6 and PBT of £2.7m. With measures to be put in place to pull costs and with revenue in the key areas (components, water and energy) still growing I am personally holding on.
