The Return Trends At S4 Capital (LON:SFOR) Look Promising-

"What trends should we look for it we want to identify stocks that can multiply in value over the long term? Ideally, a business will show two trends; firstly a growing return on capital employed (ROCE) and secondly, an increasing amount of capital employed. If you see this, it typically means it's a company with a great business model and plenty of profitable reinvestment opportunities. So when we looked at S4 Capital (LON:SFOR) and its trend of ROCE, we really liked what we saw.

Understanding Return On Capital Employed (ROCE)

Just to clarify if you're unsure, ROCE is a metric for evaluating how much pre-tax income (in percentage terms) a company earns on the capital invested in its business. To calculate this metric for S4 Capital, this is the formula:

Return on Capital Employed = Earnings Before Interest and Tax (EBIT) ÷ (Total Assets - Current Liabilities)

0.031 = UK£26m ÷ (UK£1.3b - UK£423m) (Based on the trailing twelve months to June 2025).

So, S4 Capital has an ROCE of 3.1%. Ultimately, that's a low return and it under-performs the Media industry average of 10%."

The Trend Of ROCE

We're glad to see that ROCE is heading in the right direction, even if it is still low at the moment. Over the last five years, returns on capital employed have risen substantially to 3.1%. Basically the business is earning more per dollar of capital invested.

3 years ago it was 2.2% !

Assets under Management fell 9.9 %.............wow, that news leaked yesterday, and now it

has been officially reported, the Market does not like this, sp tanked this morning.

sp losing value -way down than the Declared 6.7p dividend.

Further decline is possible, I fear.

Usually the sp DROPS at least the equivalent value of the Dividend value.

So, Guestimated at 6.5p..........this is usually the reason, unless the Market

has deemed the stock too high a Value ?

Reflection !

I thought the 'Results' were GOOD, better than expected even, apart from a mention of-

no more reductions in Staff levels- which I think is positive ?

Share price closed down to eventually 108/109 pence. ???????????????????????

So, the 130p price had NO NEWS of Dividends.........which usually endorses a sound financial Business.

WHY then is this stock still below the 130p level ?

Manipulation ?

The opening bell this morning, according to this website, had the SPREAD at 6p+..............!

This SPREAD was evident until 08:20am+

Effectively citing the stock had dropped.

If ever there was a corrupt cost, then the word SPREAD is easily recognised.

Who sets these ridiculous values-secret handshake Toffs ?

Just for a bit of Fun, I with no knowledge, say the First Dividend will be.......

NEWS- within this web page,

' RBC Capital Markets upgraded Metro Bank to 'outperform' from 'sector perform' on Tuesday and reiterated its 155p price target. '

Confirms the Aggressive Business strategy-ongoing, will now eventually add DIVIDENDS to the sp.

The sp drop was over done, there is Value in this Stock, and I expect the secret handshake buoys wanted a lower entry point ?

I acquired more, I trust others follow their own convictions, and did similar ?

I believe this has BOTTOMED OUT, the 'shocks' have been endured, and an opportunity for some to ADD, will have been welcomed ?

I just like MTRO, it is NOT the big Brand bully, but quietly it is finding it's Niche-before today- so I was optimistic - like most I would guess.

Still, MTRO has survived worse, so another speed bump in this winding road, has been navigated, onwards people.

I believe this will open down, after digestion of results, the issue is with the Debt- no clear sign of how this will reduce to more acceptable levels.

Staffing levels have now stabilised-so where can they reduce debt ?
