Indeed it has been and entirely predictable from my recent entry, when this goes ex div I can’t see this falling below year lows and a retrace to 217-220 inevitable. Almost tripled my holding here today but didn’t.
The value of Weatherly International without it’s loan facilities is well in excess of £200million however we are maxed out and my original valuation still stands at 1.25p-1.5p per share and it’s an inevitability that Orion will make a takeover bid on a 6month to 18month time scales. Craig’s departure facilitates this. No way do they want to see through Weatherly's 20 year plan, the recent acquisition reaffirms this. I’ll be accumulating more in readiness for Orion to buy me out.
Thanks TDT I’ve seen those sub $7k’s until June but was hoping we’d have more hedges through to September.
CFlather2000 My investments are always bought with the intention to accumulate and hold over a minimum of five years. The three picks in 2012 were SLP, IQE and WTI. The first two have gone to plan but I missed an opportunity to exit WTI fully on the recent spike and it’s now one for the top drawer. I’ve moved the money into boring blue chips and have initiated in HZM, JAY and AURA with a few Ks in each and will use the yielding portion of my portfolio to accumulate these over five years again always with the expectation that one might fail hoping that the other two will at least carry me forward.
I do hope weatherly hedged some of their copper production above $7k.
I’ve fully sold out today, the 100k tranches are mine. Still a fantastic business operating in the political hot potato that is S.A. Opportunities have presented elsewhere away from AIM that’ll hopefully provide an income from now until the day I kick the bucket. Good luck all.
Last trade posted 1.3million was clearly a buy at £20k on the nose. It was a no (real) new news RNS no justification for the markets to be spooked whatsoever.
It’s been a good week, month and year for rhodium. Could soon test $2,000/ounce as has been the market expectation.
No shame in taking profits mr.smith I top sliced myself recently selling more than half my holding here. The dynamics of the share has changed and 26p seems reasonable. My first tranche was at 23p when 80p seemed possible. Back then though my stakes were 4 figures not 5 as they are now.
Huge stonking buys going through today, overall the RNS was positive as they managed to maintain production from lower grade contingency tailings at a reasonable cost. Normal operations will resume shortly and i’d like to know whose the background buyer. Might get a discloser RNS?
There aren’t many rushing for the exits on Q2 release. All in all a positive RNS with with few surprises and solid numbers.
Bold statement from GM that they’ll mass produce a driverless level 4 car without a steering wheel or pedals by 2019. The applications for IQEs VCSEL products are vast and game changing and that’s why I’m invested here. Even if the iPhone X flops there’ll be more models that incorporate 3D sensing in their products.
It’ll decimate staff moral as effectively every promotion between colleague to store manager has been replaced by fewer non-descript watered down management roles and longer term it’ll damage the company as each tier of progression is a test on the employees capabilities and they’ll no doubt resort to throwing a few in at the deep end. Shortsighted damage limitation to bolster the chiefs ego and Argos deal that I feel has brought no intrinsic value to the business.
Chesh I bought off the bottom today having previously exited fully at 1.7
I put the recent rise in SP down to hedgefunds covering their shorts which are currently 12% of their market capital that’ll reduce to 6-8% in time and 240p is fair value IMO of course.
Lujon Let’s not forget the recent placing at 1.40p which was no discount at the time. We may see 100p but that would present a further buying opportunity for me. It’s either going trade the range 1-1.2 or 1.2-1.4 before it marches onwards to 1.8-2.1
Thank you Leas. There’s no rhyme or reason to my trading strategy other than being overly long here. I only see a retrace taking place if the whole sector softens in which case I’ll be upping my stake again. Needless to say I’m a long term holder past, present and future.
Sold 125,294 at 15.1p. Rebalancing my portfolio only and still holding here. Nice to see buyers at this price.
No where have I written that I hate the BoD that is a very emotive word. They deceived shareholders with falsely positive RNS’s while making out like bandits it is of my opinion that that is fraudulent. They can sue me if they are that way inclined.
As a LTH having sold out taking a £14k hit I’m so glad that they’ve allowed this shower to die. Speculators aside I’d like to see a shareholder action group go after and prosecute the BoD for their blatent criminal behaviour not that I’d expect to gain anything personally but a confiscation of assets via Proceeds of Crime Act would be the least we could do.
