I slightly disagree Pdub, despite the obvious fact that you are technically correct. However the policy announcement was deferred from the original commitment of Q4 in 2018 so taking it to the wire would be somewhat disappointing. Let’s not forget the original dividend announcement was stimulated by the company so a little surprising that the delay is so extreme.
I cannot for the life of me see why they have delayed announcing the policy as long as they have. Pure conjecture would be, on my part, are they thinking of amending their thought processes with a strong improvement in production? Let’s face it there has been nothing but hiccups so far.
A 2.5p divividend would cost the company £30m ish & would massively underpin a 50p share price with a 5% yield. That might be too optimistic but we can but dream whilst nothing else is happening.
Is about as low as it will ever get, maybe? In the circumstances I think the SP is actually remaining remarkably firm. If volume stays as is Pdub will hopefully get his wish on Friday. I don’t mind waiting, give him a shot in the arm as it were.
Paludina has always kept a very close grip on this aspect, extremely helpful it is too being the only clue we shareholders receive re sales outside official company RNS’s. When there are further shipments we will be told in pretty quick time.
