Several reasons why air cover should not be used.
1 Putin want's NATO to use air cover.
2 To use air cover you have first to take out Russian radar sites this will give the madman an excuse to use nukes........

A civvy a few days ago used a drone to film Russian and Ukraine forces in a gun battle and throwing grenades across the highway, both sides we're in bad positions and both lacked sniper cover............ IMHO
