Work on it always running late.
Don't waste you're time trying to advise management on how to improve the job, and save the company money. I was on a job once and was paid £105 per week for refuelling my truck on return to the yard each night £21 for an hours over time, some times took longer if many trucks were in front of me. After a 10 or 12 hour day this is just boring could of been at home in the shower. I asked for a meeting with the transport manager about 8 days later I got the meeting and advised him that my truck only needed refuelling twice per week, he cut me dead and said thanks for you're input and asked if I had any other difficulties following company policy, I said no he then said that my complaining had delayed my delivery timetable.
The next day when I collected my paperwork it had a note in it saying all trucks had to be refuelled on return to the depot.
I walked into the transport managers office, he said you never knocked on the door, I told him that I had only been trained to kick doors down. Then advised him that many moons ago it was good practice to refuel after each days work as most of the fuel gauges were faulty and not all drivers had the same truck, told him that I would be writing to the top man about how it took 8 days to get a meeting on how to save the company money.
He said Kenny you can be trusted to refuel you're truck whenever you feel the need.
Years later and still to this day the company still follows this policy..........
