I still have a chartered accountant 35 years ago he advised me to pay my mortgage off so worked about 90 hours per week for 5 years to do it, been mortgage free for last 30 years............

The best UK Gov pension deal got closed down within about 3 years of starting about 30 years ago..........
Was something like if you paid £100 per month the Gov topped it up with £25 per month... DYOR
