Covid gave lots of people a wake up call, some sold up to move nearer to family some panic sold thinking that property prices would drop, some sold as no stamp duty to pay up to a limit, the no stamp duty was to keep the housing market liquid. Some sold as were out of work with no cash in the bank as back up. Once read that a lot of people in the UK live from week to week on good pay due to high overheads......
IMHO

When covid started Rightmove had double the amount of properties for sale, over 6000 in the area that I search every day.
Now down to 2786 properties for sale...........
