and still going-46.5
on the way back up-45.5 now almost 20% rise last night
90+8-that's what you call close,eh Fiercey!
Hello Fiercey. We're playing well, dominating the game, creating chances but wasting 'em. Not looking good but the lads are doing most things right-just have to hope we get the next goal.
This is absolutely infuriating now. Every time it goes up the sellers come out of the woodwork and back down it goes. Are we going to be stuck at this price for ever?
I thought the halt might have prompted some chat/comment on here. Has everybody gone to the seaside?
Has doubled in the last couple of weeks to 16c. WE hold 15m shares with 3m+ warrants. I can't recall how much we put in or at what price, but it'll be another positive for August's NAV calc.
or approx half our MC. If our SFR shares are worth £9m as Taylot posted earlier, those 2 holdings alone account for around 80% of our MC. I don't know how much all the rest, inc cash, amount to but perhaps someone can hazard a guess. We must be trading at a healthy discount to NAV surely and if Cobre continues to fly.... Perhaps another IC article is called for.
Klue, join the club!
Richierich25, could you explain please, you've lost me completely.
MTR's net tangible assets at end July were 17.8p. since then CBE has trebled in value and SFR is up 10%. So our NTA must be up on the strength of those 2 holdings alone but the SP is down. Hopefully MTR is working on an RNS to let everybody know, but I wouldn't bank on it!
And MTR is down on the back of a few quids' worth of sells. Incredible.
It's been like it for at least a week now, probably more. I'm not about to buy more so I haven't enquired with HL what the problem is.
I won't be holding my breath....
Perhaps trying to be both explorer and investor muddied the waters and having moved, or at least being in the process of moving, to investment only perhaps MTR will have a clearer identity and purpose and appeal to investors looking for a particular type of investment company. I do wish, tho', that they would enlighten us sooner rather than later exactly what the new corporate strategy will look like.
"volume is f all". Exactly. We get some good news about a major holding and hardly anyone is interested enough to buy a few shares. A temporary rally in the sp and normal service is resumed.
Hello Fiercey, nice to see you're still on board.
It's no surprise to me that sells are "ticking through". I think shareholders are losing faith and this Cobre success is another reason why that faith is dissipating. I appreciate what Illaquens says about MTR no longer having to part fund a very expensive drilling campaign but the timing from MTR's point of view is awful.
The RNS on 16th June that announced our exit from KML was dismal. MM admitted the project investment division was finished and then waffled on about "corporate strategies" operating "more efficiently"and "improving the investment story". Unfortunately we poor bl**dy shareholders have to wait until the "appropriate time", whenever that might be, to be let in on the secret of what's actually going on.I seem to remember in a subsequent interview MM indicated the "appropriate time " would be 6 months away. Is it surprising shareholders are drifting away? Yes there's the SFR royalty to look forward to but it's still months away and any royalty we get out of the Cobre/KML deal is YEARS away. Apart from these royalties we're left with the equity division and how much of a contribution has that made over the years. MTR owes practically everything to the MOD jv and the subsequent deal with SFR, but that's history. What does our new "corporate strategy " hold for us? It would be nice to know and it might just persuade peolpe MTR shares are worth hanging on to but it seems we can't be told . Meanwhile I look forward-ever more forlornly-to making a profit on these shares.
There's a notice on HL saying purchases of MTR are not possible because of MIFID II and problems with accessing info re MTR. There was a problem a while back I seem to recall about MTR's Key Info Doc. Is this similar? Not helping the SP if HL won't deal, although apparently other brokers have no problem. MTR need to sort it 1 way or another.
CBE up 109% @18c
Bid up to 15 on HL now and can only buy small amounts
