The thing that concerns me about boo is that the headwinds are far from over. I was speaking to someone who owns an independent shoe company which has quite a few shops and owns 4 warehouses and he was complaining about how bad the backlog from china for the shows has been. He ordered his winter stock in February and they still haven’t arrived. He’s given up hope they will be here at the start of the year also! It’s going to be a long time until these supply chain issues are sorted out
I find the majority of people who are unvaccinated or believe covid is a hoax as a general rule fall into two categories.
1. They suffer from mental health disorders
2. They are so stupid they actually believe they are intelligent
My sister in law works as a doctor in an icu. Last week they were treating a guy with covid, he was in there for a fair few days and the cost to the NHS was £14000 for his treatment, he was unvaccinated. Once he got better he spoke to the doctor on call there and said he still won’t get the vaccine and that covid is not real. The doctor had to walk away as he was so angry. This is the stupidity we are up against.

I wouldn’t assume HP did not do their research and rushed to buy. You don’t spend 11 billion without all of the top accountants and lawyers going through every detail. They must also think they have a strong case to win or they wouldn’t be spending any more money and creating further publicity if it was simply their mistake. It’s a shame this wasn’t resolved instead of keep delaying dragging the uncertainty.
The only problem is it’s not plain sailing though is it. Still a big factor in the Mike lynch case to come up in the not too distant future and if it will drag darktrace into it being financed with the money made by fraud. Having been burnt by the price drop, but thankfully only losing profit rather than capital, I’m on the fence of this is a buying opportunity or best to wait it out until after the ML case.
Charles you should watch a documentary called ‘inside job’ about the 2008 financial crisis to see just how trustworthy these institutions are. It’s on Netflix.
Spoiler - most are nothing short of crooks
This is pure entertainment
I find it so funny how people are trying to force the green transition on oil majors like they are the blame yet everyone is happy to fill the car up for a day out, turn the heating up on a cold day and fly half way around the world for a holiday. Not to mention buying cheap foreign food with high air miles and lower pollution guidelines etc. If the people really want to decrease emissions then they need to make sacrifices to force change, supply and demand, if they use less fuel it would force change from the oil majors. Making the oil majors change first is the wrong way around, people need to practice what they preach and become less reliant on fossil fuels
It could be either a bit of profit taking before results for those who don’t want to chance it or Tesla share price has taken a nose dive and Volex is linked to the EV market so could also be that. Or possibly a bit of both!

It’s funny how the bitter people who missed the rise and lost money shorting the share come back to spout their expertise when things start to go south
