China's coking coal futures contract ended 4.2% higher, after hitting a new record of 1,744.5 yuan per tonne.
Coking coal inventories at coke plants and steel mills fell to 18.36 mln tonnes on Dec 25 from 18.49 mln tonnes a week ago, according to Mysteel. (unable to post link due to subscription site)
