As a long term holder, I have been extremely patient with MTR, and I hope that it will exceed 40p by the end of year. Though have been hoping that for about 5 years...
Nonetheless, I think that most AIM day traders have incredible short term views, and that MTR is sitting on some great investments, we have to ignore the senseless chatter and just keep holding on !
Michael M has a very energetic vision/plan for MTR: there are a few conflicts that I'd like to keep an eye on, but happy to wait
DP - I don't believe that MTR is a lifestyle Company. However, I am annoyed when directors sit on the boards of companies MTR has invested in and get free director options. In my mind, that advantage/perk should be turned over to us shareholders, otherwise there is a huge conflict of interest.
anyone else depressed by the very unchallenging strike price for director options?
CEO McNeilly always said that 2020 would be the breakout year for MTR; I have been very patient with this stock (given the potential upside) - so it's a relief to see the stock finally tick back up
The terms of the clever derivative negotiated by MTR are such that (for 26% of the Sandfire holding) MTR is protected with a put option should the Sandfire shares tank.
My understanding is that the Financing terms (see RNS of 17 December) can be applied to all of the Sandfire holding; but perhaps someone else could confirm?
"Metal Tiger can agree with the Lender to utilise the balance of Sandfire Shares held by it to increase the size of the Financing Arrangement at a later date."
Once again a positive RNS drops the SP.
We are back to the lowest SP we have seen in years (back when former manager tried to make a lowball offer for MTR)
Not sure I’ll see a return on this investment
I don't understand why the share buy back and other positive RNS announcements are having no effect.
I have been very patient with this stock, but will anything cause a (long overdue) uplift?
Seems sensible to go slowly - gentle nudges keeping cash ready if needed
here here.
Lets close DE (and get rid of all inherent conflicts with CEO sitting on boards of companies MTR is invested in)
Focus on Direct Projects
The low SP is a fact: this means one of two things:
a) someone is keeping it low
b) the SP reflects the true value of the company
As a LTH, I am 'hoping' it is a)

I was merely pointing out that (on AIM) the share price is often uncorrelated with what should objectively be good news. I was asking if there was another reason for it going down after the RNS went out. (I note that SP has corrected today)
Why did the Thor SP tank then?
It seems that the SP is weighted with lead, even on good news
snap,! I have learnt not to be so greedy now!
