Pj70, ASX rebalance takes places post ASX close on Friday 19th September (3rd Friday). We would hope to see a rise in SP on the AIM open, but no guarantees.

Its incorrect in that case, spot price went above $3700 at 15:17 for around 5 minutes and hasn't been back there since.

Are you sure you're looking at the spot price and not futures?

Ian and others, I would reconsider expectations regarding the rebalance and what the SP may or may not do. Some will have front run, some will have bought in on the IPO, the majority most likely will buy in on the rebalance but whilst I expect some upside from Friday, I aren't allowing myself to get carried away with it - hope I am wrong, of course.

Currently offering a higher price to sell then it is to buy.

I do wonder if we’ll see the short reduce again after close. Not long left for them now before Fridays rebalance.

Short reduced by 0.02% last Friday, now down to 0.78%. Lets see if that continues up to Friday this week...

Mattyboy, of what benefit is it to any large institution to hold a share price forever? It may well be the case this week, but have confidence they’re buying in to see a return multiples of today’s price.

Rebalance will happen mostly in the auction post close on Friday in Australia. People need to learn some patience.

ASX short reporting only goes up to 3rd September at the moment, and that showed a 0.01% increase on the previous days reported position (0.98% now). Will be interesting to see if/how that adjusted post Fridays ASX inclusion announcement.

MH01, please correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the announcement for GDX is this Thursday? I don’t think we’ll make it this time around, but December rebalance is looking good.

Short still active, rebalance not until 20th. You better believe they’ll want as low an SP as possible until then.

Looking at your catalysts MH, it all starts to make perfect sense. Shaun got the bad news out early, he knew he had to - that is now old news, share price all but recovered, funds now loading up, no reason for Insto's to knock Q3 results are they'll be loaded up by then.

The mining lease has still not been approved, no update from emits.

Whatever the case regarding the short/funds buying in. They're buying in around this price give or take a few. Do you believe funds are buying in for a few % profit? I don't. We should be thrilled that they're buying in around this price - they will be playing the long game with GGP, we all know what fruits Havieron has to bear. There's another elephant in the room which is being forgotten, and that is the beast that is GDX.
