Eqtec Plc,the waste gasification to energy specialist,are rumoured to be attracting bid interest from a Multi National Corporation that are expanding into Advanced Gasification Technology.Eqtec have had a troubled past but have recently appointed Ian Joseph Price to the role of CEO who brings with him a wealth of experience in the industry.In one of his first interviews since appointment,he spelled out very clearly how he views the rapid growth potential that the company can achieve.In a little over six weeks since his appointment Mr Price has conducted a detailed strategic review and landed the company a good sized contract for two new power plants in California with Pheonix Biomass Energy.The USA market is obviously low hanging fruit for Eqtec,but the wider Pacific Rim is perhaps where the largest investments are currently being made,with a host of countries committed to large scale rollout of "waste to power schemes" within the next few years.Eqtec are certainly one to keep an eye on with its current lowly market valuation,and should a bid or bids be made it could net shareholders some significant upside.Interesting
