Nice one John :-). Yes, I watched the share's downfall too and got in during the recent rise. So I am good for now. I reduced my irish banks holdings some time ago and bet on transportation/tourism as it was clear that omikron is rather mild. Then two weeks before the war broke out I sold because of rising danger from Russia. clearly I am sad that he started this war and I was right. Horrible.

I agree with many previous speakers that the fixation on short-term drilling results or no drilling results is a narrowing of the perspective. In my opinion, the daily panting for new price explosions causes lasting damage to the price. Impatience is produced. Instead, one should be honest that there must be a long investment horizon in order to achieve possible "multi bagging". The same with the alleged Silversqueeze. This should be a plea for a more cautious posting culture.

The expansion of NATO is not a provocation but the expression of free will. The countries in the east decided themselves to participate. This should definitely be in their right. Putin is attacking an independent country under false pretence. Several thousand people already died and a lot, I fear, will die soon. The russians obviously thought they will get a quick win. There is no way Putin can pull back now. He will adapt his tactics exercised in Syria. I wonder how you don't call out the real aggressor here.

It doesn't make any sense what you are talking about. Why should an attack on Ukraine, in which thousands of people are going to die, have anything to do with political correctness (gender etc.)? What a joke! Unkraine is a souvereign, democratic country which is under attack from a dictator. It is against international law, the majority of the russian people who are well informed is surely against it. The others follow the propaganda that Putin is freeing Ukraine from Nazis (only that Selenski has jewish ancestors). You forget to mention free speech, wealth, legal security etc. which you enjoy in London. To say that you are not free in UK and to insinuate that in a dictatorship the situation should be somehow better is dubious. By the way, I am too against this trend of political correctness but this has literally nothing to do with this here.
