Sorry everyone, i bought in yesterday, hence the drop today! ;-)
After procrastinating over Costain and Finsbury Foods for the past few months (missed out on Finsbury Foods' big jump, and also a smaller increase for Costain) I decided to take the plunge!
Any views gratefully accepted on where this is going and why. Cheers.
I know exactly how you feel Stringy! I'm fully out after years of the rollercoaster but can't seem to keep away or stop myself looking at the sp. PFD messes with your mind so much, it's hard not to become emotionally involved. Continually tempted to come back in (using lower capital than previous) given the global madness seems to be here to stay for a while longer yet...and especially with the FTSE250 on the horizon....but do I....???
Kallumama....tbh I'm taking a breather...I didn't expect the PFD journey to be such a long one. I'm gonna enjoy some of it though by buying a classic car! Few home improvements and the remainder in Fundsmith Equity until I find a new share I like .
It certainly does Dogger! Long-time sufferers like us needed to see something back for those years of torment !
And whilst this time things do seem to be a bit different, I still couldn't take the pain (and regret of not selling) of yet another false dawn!
After maybe 6yrs holding PFD as my only share (all my savings!), and an average SP of 42p in the end, I'm afraid I'm finally out today, thanks to a stop loss I'd set at 85p. Really think it's worth £1-1.20 but when has PFD ever been worth what it should be? My issue with PFD is that they still they have nothing summer-based to sell.
Wishing you all the very best of luck - and if it returns to 50p (wouldn't bet against it), I'll no doubt be back in...but after thinking for a long time I was going to make a big loss, I'm actually ecstatic to be leaving with a 100% profit.
Obviously, now I'm out, a takeover will be announced at £2 a share ;)
Anybody worried that all this hot weather is going to keep the sp down regardless of any benefit gained from lockdown? It's still the Achilles heel of PFD imo...maybe even more so than the debt.
No hot weather products at all really. (And we all know what a success Ambrosia ice cream was)
I really hope you're right! Wish I had a pound for every time I'd thought that with PFD over the years....
My break even was 46p so I've reduced my exposure by a third (having nearly done it so many other times), so based on sod's law, that might boost the sp now :)
Hi all, obviously gutted like most that this is going down after the momentum just before and after the results. Pretty unbelievable.
Just wondering though....the volume of sells is huge and I keep seeing lots of sells in multiples of 50K shares, including a number at 150K shares. What can that be? Can it be anything positive for me to cling on to.....??
