Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
As a long suffering holder over many years I couldn't agree more.
If the RNS is only days away and JV is as good as signed... why would bother tweeting rumours about it? To me that is just tempting fate and asking for Murphys law to strike.
Funnily enough about the same time last year we had "false dawn" spike with an announcement that was just around the corner.
I have faith that Roland will deliver..... I just don't subscribe to the imminent timelines, as it has been promised before!
Hitting the risers board today, after Dowgate increasing holding and small insider buy this week.
Sam, yes June. If your dividend payment went in to your HL account on 31st May like I expect, then it will re-invest mid-June.
The timing is swings and roundabouts. With HL holding your dividends as cash until middle of the following month it gives an opportunity to not re-invest. Even if your account is set to auto-re-invest, you have a window to manually transfer the dividend funds from the income wallet to the cash on account wallet and hence not re-investing.
From HL - "We will reinvest any income automatically for you between the 11th and 21st of the month when it reaches £10"
I'm with HL, my dividend shows up as in yesterday. My HL reinvestments all seem to happen 11th & 12th of month.
At this valuation TMIP just looks like a dividend machine...
Push for legalisation of casinos and sports betting in Texas hitting the headlines
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-02-16/texas-legal-gambling-push-lead-by-billionaire-miriam-adelson
https://www.chron.com/sports/article/sports-betting-texas-legalized-17769331.php
Gambling maybe a bit of a sin, but legalised and regulated it brings in plenty of tax dollars. I think this fear mongering about the potential of for federal regulation of advertising has been overdone.
Sports betting is growing in the US . There will be regulation and reform as the industry grows, but the authorities won't be wanting to give up those tax revenues. Advertising will be reformed, cleaned up, but not banned as per the hype. I think responsible operators in the industry have a world of opportunity ahead... hopefully to the benefit of XLM and its shareholders.
Article published on IC website today with a quite bullish outlook on Uranium prices.
YCA gets a mention so worth a read for holders here.

BofA predicting Uranium prices of $58/lb this year and $66/lb in to 2024
Tipped last night by Simon Thompson (IC) as part of his 2023 bargain shares portfolio.
ST produces such a volume of tips, I'm sure some are just picked by a pin in the financial pages.
However PTRO was initially an Alpha pick for premium subscribers back in Feb 2019 in the heady days of 80p
Then over the subsequent 4 years, a further 10 buy tips! Starting with "repeat buying opportunity" @ 78p. Tipped again and again and still a buy in Sept 22 @ 23p.
The Sell tip yesterday seems pointless, just closing the door after the horse has bolted!
He has not just tipped this one, but has really been beating the buying drum . Despite all those tips the market seems to have consistently taken an opposing view.
Without that IC tip support this train wreck would of gone off the rails much sooner and faster I feel.
Will be interesting what the BOD have to say at this afternoons presentation.
There is a lot of positive in the RNS with regards to what is in the pipeline, but ultimately how much of that is just spin to soften the report of a loss, negative earnings per share and no dividend for the period.
Will be listening in with interest at 3pm!
@battyk no, just a regular pi looking at possible opportunities for my meager ISA savings. Joining the discussion to share my opinion and compare with others.
Did you watch the presentation??? What were your thoughts??? - I'm interested in your interpretation of this webinar.
I think this afternoons IC article sums it up pretty concisely, worth a read. Speculative / high risk.
Green-ish-er energy being a hot sector, I joined the ITM webinar as a prospective investor - looking if the weak shareprice was an opportunity for a good entry point for a Hydrogen play.
Not a great first impression, what struck me was some of the language used. It gave me the feeling that this company is focused on building equipment and capacity, but not so interested in whether that delivers value to shareholders. I actually found the language quite dismissive towards shareholders.
"Nobody is interested in the shareprice.... well except the city" => and maybe your shareholders who are watching on?
"Investors put their money in to fund a 5GW Gigafactory" => erm.... maybe they are also hoping for a return at somepoint?
I got the messages that Hydrogen is an exciting marketplace, but I didn't hear a confident message on how ITM will convert that in to a good outcome for shareholders.
I can see why the price weakened on that presentation.
"The effect of the Capital Reduction is to create distributable reserves." - sounds good to me ;-)
CIP is not available to trade on HL.
"This stock is unavailable to buy. If you already hold this investment you can continue to hold it, and sell it at any time, but no further purchases can be made."
@MrMolla - "Patience is the key for this share"....... I've been waiting patiently since 2014, SP has eroded from 9p down to 0.2p. Patience with OEX has not transferred any wealth so far!!!
With HL, divi only paid to my account on Friday afternoon. Not sure why it was slow, a couple of other recent AIM-co divi's have been paid next day.
HL clients get your votes in, HL have issued online voting for their clients with regards to the delisting proposal, so it's quick and easy, but the cut off time is noon Friday.
"If you would like to submit a vote for or against the resolution to delist the Shares, please provide us with your voting instruction by noon on Friday 8 January 2021 by logging into your account online at www.hl.co.uk and clicking on your Stocks & Shares ISA in the ‘My Accounts’ section of our website. Please then select the dark blue Corporate Actions icon alongside your Octagonal plc Shares and follow the online instructions provided."
Details of the SEC complaint can be found here. https://www.sec.gov/litigation/complaints/2020/comp24996.pdf
Despite the rebuttal in this afternoons RNS, I think there is no smoke without fire.
Off to watch Wolf of Wall Street, with the romantic notion that penny stock shysters are a relic on the 80's, now only found on film!
Well I liked the idea that the suspension might be due to some generous offer, but suspected it might be something murky.
Now we have the prospect of sitting in suspension through the de-listing process.
"The Company notes the decision of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to file a complaint alleging that Global Investment Strategy UK Ltd. ("GIS") violated section 15 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 by acting as a broker-dealer in the U.S. without registration with the SEC"
Wildtiger, it's in RNS dated 11th May, Transformation Update.
"Xen is an experienced technology executive, specialising in digital media, publishing and eCommerce having previously held positions at Microsoft and Google. "
"His primary focus has been to support the re-platforming of the de-ranked sites and oversee the re-organisation of the technology group."
Simon Thompson (IC) has just renewed his Kape tip on this mornings news, lifting target from 200 to 275. "Profit from Kape’s chart break-out"
