Yes i'm still in TNI at 67p but only put 50% in. I will be looking to put the other half in tomorrow and then sit on it as a bounce is long overdue looking at those technicals and will hopefully go through my average. Hoil- Interesting that one. I had a target of 250p on that for ages, came within a whisker and seems to have bounced nicely. Broke through the descending trendline today but closed smack on it. Did it breakout today and we have just witnessed the customary backtest before shooting up tomorrow or did we see a fake breakout and closing the day on the trendline means it will be down tomorrow? Only time wll tell but technical indicators would suggest more upside is favoured. just my opinion though

My point of view is well documented anyway. Ivaylo- To be honest it was always a complete punt thus the small amount i was willing to gamble. Nothing to do with charts or fundementals, so i just took my money and ran. Never mind! Hindsight eh !!!!

Afternoon all. Just letting off a bit of steam ! I was sooooo going to plow a load into CHL and chickened out and only bought a couple of grand instead !!!!!!!! 45% up today !!!!! Gutted ! I guess a nice profit is a nice profit but could have made closer to £5k. Hawk finally on the move aswell , so cant complain. Mixed feeling and disappointed with PRTY despite still being in profit. Think i will just hold though. Ivaylo, i dont want 160p anymore. lol.............but i will add if i get it.

Cheers mate Funeral not til the 16th unfortunately . Glad when its over. Bizz and Uwinsum have brought my attention to NYO. I'm now tempted at 16p with a double up at 14.75p for short term profits. Thoughts? Also tempted for a small punt on CHL but Netley will tell me that its fraught with danger.

Gosh i feel awash with cash! Just sold my last holding in YELL at 9p which means i actually made a nice profit in the end. I never thought i would be saying that so quickly when a week ago i was sat on 40% loss. Strange how quickly how some stocks can turn around. Now only have a positions in TNI at 67p, HAWK at 11.25p and PPC at 55p and of course PRTY at 173p. Should have sold that on Friday but didn't have time to do my own research on it at the time, so will monitor it and after a great couple of weeks i can afford to hang on and see if i can get closer to 200p-210p. Keeping some money set aside to hopefully trade YELL and notice that ENEG came a touch closer to my 16p target today, so looking to buy in there when it does. Hope we all have another good week. I dont think he necessarily intended to alarm you. Perhaps he was concentrating on the 10 negatives you were referring to. From a TA perspective i can give up a few reasons why 55p could be hit and as 50p is only a further 10% from there and major support in that region i would say that it isn't impossible. We are smack on a couple of trend lines support. Any lower and 60p is the obvious next stop and if the well anticipated and talked about support/triple bottom doesn't kick in then masses of stop losses will . Often the more anticipated something is , the bigger the shock if it doesn't happen and therefore the reason why 60p is pivital. The problem you would then have is , that since 60p acted as such huge support , unless it jumps back up very quickly, it could be weeks before it breaks back through it. LLOYs always been a great 'trading range' stock, even going back years when the share price was alot higher. Probably manipulatd that way by the MM'S for excellent trading profits. So if it does break 60p there is always the chance that it could trade in the new 50p-60p trading range for months as it has done during the 60p-80p range. Now of couse none of that might happen , especially if 60p DOES hold. But for me if you're bullish the FTSE then you have to be bullish LLOY short term.Likewise if you are bearish the FTSE you have to be bearish on LLOY and unfortunately i am bearish on the FTSE short/medium term, so for that reason i am using caution on LLOY. On the plus side a number of the technial indicators are or close to oversold which would suggest limited downside.......but of course cannot be guarenteed. Just my opinion though.

Sorry to hear that mate,,,,,,,,,but what is it they say about death and taxes....... To be fair that sounds much more reasonable but will put it to the vote so it doesn't become the grays/netley show.LOL! Capt -Did he? I'm not surprised. Complete tool ! I felt i had to go as it was his 'stalking' me that was spoiling the board, so when i lost the bet i kept to my word and left. Some , like yourself, are here to make money and hopefully help others along the way, whilst others are just cOcks and have probably never traded a stock in their life. I'm glad the board has quietened down for you and will think about returning when it has quietened down sufficiently enough to guarentee that prick wont return........a nice rise on YELL share price often does that .lol !!!

Haha! To be fair you did catch me at a difficult moment when i decided to sign up. There should be a 7 day cooling off period to protect us from clever sharks. LOL!! Thanks for your kind thoughts by the way mate . Haven't been concentrating on the charts as much over this last week as i usually do so will take a couple of days to catch up to speed. Maybe have a vote to make it fair. It is supposed to be an experiment between fundementalists v chartists to see what we can learn and a touch biased if you remove one of the chartists biggest tools of all.........flexibility! All the other rules sound fair to me.

1st of all, thanks for all the messages of condolence. It was very much appreciated. Hopefully now get back to business. Despite a difficult week personaly, it's been a great week financially. 10% up on PRTY (although still not sold yet so always time to go down. Looking for 220p though as a target) and thanks to locked in profits on trades on SBT (10%), XCH (20%) and thankfully reinvesting my profits into YELL wasn't as foolish after all. However, after putting my XCH money into YELL, i had £27k in that sucker which was making me feel a touch uneasy so took my 25% profit on that trade off the table right at the close yesterday. Still got £15k at 9.95p in them but i'm confident i'll get it back and £5k profit this week has helped heal the wounds. LOL! Just want HAWK to start firing up and i'll be a very happy chappy. I'll have to spend the the weekend catching up on the posts.........although i've noticed that Netley has tried bullying us weak chartists into submission. LOL! I must admit that the experiment is distorted as this 10 trades lark goes completely against the chartist normal yearly strategy . Maybe it should be rejigged and each trade as they would normally do and aslong as trades are posted at the time or noted that a limit order has been placed then game on. Of course trading costs then would be important as a chartist will have higher fee's, so Netley should still be laughing. Last week was a good example. I did 3 trades last week and made 55% locked in proifits on those trades but i'm 5% down on my experimental one. DOH!!!!! Ivaylo, well done with SAR. Frought with danger but fortune favours the brave. I think Ivaylo should be declared the WINNER !!!! Well done fella! Ironic that a chartist won but i believed originally based upon fundementals!!! LOL! Buying and holding is just completely foreign to a chartist, so it's not that any of the chartists are trying to duck out , just that they've been suckered into an experiment that is masively biased in favour of the fundementalist. So now Ivaylo is the winner, start of the new experiment will be trade as you would normally. Hehe!! As regards ENEG , that was just a paper trade to get things started as was invsted elsewhere and always wanted 16p to buy in. Now i've freed up some cash , i will be looking to buy into that one very soon and add some more to TNI at the right time. Sirbob- You asked about WIN. No i didn't get chance to jump in but Ivaylo's advice to wait for a breakout is wise as an alternative scenario is that there is still a possible descending triangle forming on that and if 134p doesn't hold then you could easily see another 10p wiped off the share price. Just popped in to say Hi as i knew it was results day. Haven't had the time or motivation to read through all the posts so forgive me. Nice to see PRTY rise today and hopefully sentiment has changed. Ivaylo- I sold my XCH (limit order) today for a nice 20% profit and used it to buy into TNI at 67p so i'm now hoping its an over reaction. Could be a lot left in XCH but as most know by now, my strategy is to take quick profits of 10-40% and then leg it ! 2 weeks is quite long for me.LOL! Have been monitoring TNI since Bizznizz brought it to my attention and was waiting to see which way it broke out of a a symmetrical triangle. My target price was 70p so even happier with 67p. Sold my SBT for close to 10% profit aswell and used to top up YELL. Probably foolish but had a cracking start to the year so can afford it, but must admit the quicker i get to break even on that the better. Have a very low average so still confident. Thanks for your TA on that Ivaylo. You can imagine that i just haven't had time to do it for myself. Sirbob- I see WIN came desperately close of my 134p target again recently. Not sure if you're still in it but my limit order didn't get triggered. I'm still bearish on LLOY though. Heard alot of talk of triple bottoms reversals, but in my opinion they are quite rare....certainly compared to 'double bottoms' and although support has held so far, the bounce hasn't exactly been inspiring, so i'm still waiting for 57p-55p . Experiment might have to be suspended for a few days. My father died last night. Kind of puts money into perspective. I will make my 1st purchase of ENEG at 17.25p. Would have preferred 16p but to get the ball rolling bought now. Forgive me for not going into too much detail but will over the weekend. I wont be around for a few days. Just a very quick visit as i cant hang around tonight. Of course i'm up for it........be a bit of a laugh.........although you're trying to cleverly manipulate me into getting me to adapt my shorter term trading strategy into your longer term one. You shark you ! If i lose next year you will have to do it my way.....abit like wife swap !!!!!! :) Maybe it should be altered to the quickest to make 100% or whoever makes most by the end of the year if neither of us make it ??? Might aswell forget the trading costs etc as it's kind of irrelevant to the experiment and i assume that includes going short. And of course we always have to give an explanation as to why so we can all learn from each others reasoning. Hate to say my dad is bigger than yours but i did make 120% last year but on over twice the number of trades............and none of it was based on a flukey oiler like DES.LOL!.........which of course they cant say anymore. Ouch ! Already the experiment is finding interesting differences of strategy. Not a bad start from you with EO. Netley - sounds like a very interesting challenge. Could be a bit of fun . But might not be that simple though as there would have to be some rules i.e time periods for example. I am a relatively short term trader where as you might be more comfortable with a longer term view etc etc. Which stock do we choose? Maybe we should look at a neutral stock that no one is involved in as we both have a couple of winners and losers at the moment so would be unfair to use these.....and would obviously have to be a stock we both disagree on ..........although the beauty with TA is i can give price targets to the upside and downside whilst i reckon you fundemantalists cant (ooooooh the war of words has already started. LOL ! So come up with some decent ground rules and lets have a laugh. On a side note I notice HOIL came within a whisker of my 250p price target the other day which was a TA target from weeks back, i reckon LLOY will see 57p before we see 70p, POG is about to break out of a symmetrical triangle. 1095p its a buy below 1045p and its a sell and as for PRTY i agree with IVAYLO if we dont start moving up soon it could drift back down to my 160p price target afterall. Netley, are you SURE your fundementals will be able to come up with just as accurate a price predictions within such a short time frame. LOL!! I'll start with RULE No.1 - It is always kept within a good nature, as a couple of mates having a laugh and neither of us will take what the other person says as personal !!

That makes two of us ! Got the little dip i was hoping for over the weekend now lets get a rise and this PRTY started. LOL. Could still drift a little lower to qualify as a breakout but as said before,i can relax as i feel i've got a good price and will only add if we get that dreaded 160p. All the best to all.

You're right about the volume. That is the only piece of the jigsaw left. I dont use volume to actually trade but use it as hopefully a sign of confirmation of a trend or breakout that i have already hopefully identified. I'm hoping for a dip today to backtest the breakout and then hopefully a rise and confirmed with good volume in the next few days. My personal target price for me is 230p but as you know as someone who follows TA , could alter at anytime.

I've left you a little msg on LLOY by the way. Everyone has their own opinion as how to gauge sentiment. Netley has his , Ivaylo has his and you have yours. I am genuinely interested in knowing how you decide when the next bull cycle starts? You have mentioned it a couple of times and dont work that way myself. If you check out my post over the weeknd i have given the reasons why i feel it has changed and its mainly down to the fact that we have broken the descending trendline and the inability of the bears to drag it down when it had the chance , makes me feel that sentiment is becoming more bullish. The next couple of days will either confirm or deny that probability. Either way i think if i buy today and keep some spare case if it does drop, i will make a profit. Just my opinion though
