@ Aberdeenman I think the 150 price is pie in the Sky, I believe 15 to 25 is where the RRP needs to sit for mass volume. We are in a numbers game, we want numbers to drive the SP.

UK to make announcement on airport testing later on Wednesday – Shapps

LONDON, Oct 7 (Reuters) – British transport minister Grant Shapps said he will make an announcement later on Wednesday regarding COVID-19 testing at airports which could lead to the UK's 14-day quarantine period for travellers being shortened.

"I will be making the announcement later today to parliament but it involves a task force. So looking at the systems which would enable us to have testing," he told UK media.

I wonder if this is on the news today with Cathy etc and passports. You would of thought days ago the passport info would of been shared internally, not sure if that answers the big buys in the last few days. Still, without the RI shares being out on the table lots holding back.

Lots of good comments, just need the gov. to get their act in gear and start giving out positive messages of what is coming, instead of this doom and gloom circle.

I would say this is just a survey order to iron out any bumps from A to Z. The UK Gov want to see how busienss reacts, airlines/hotels etc, plus the media. If the media do the same job on hyping up CV19 and scarring half the population, they take the same approach on tests the orders will fly in, all being equal.

No. From reading the board over the last month, not sure anyone does. Been lots of scare mongering amongst some positive talk. Tomorrow will be a test, seems that is the general feel on the board. Some say 80p, others 35-50p. GL

There was a report mid September in the Guardian that 210 billion had been spent already.

If 100 billion is correct then compared to the losses over the next 2 quarters its small beer. The gov options are zero, plus the good feel factor of moonshot is financially worth a lot more.

Possible. Every industry is calling for testing kits. ODX report in at 2pm so that will hopefully shed more light on this, plus the news on Moonshot yesterday, who knows. One thing for sure, something is going to happen because the plan at the moment is not working.
