Point me to the post where I said £2 on Friday. Lol
It’s Bangladesh’s coal. We’ve the sole right to mine as we have a Sovereign Government Contract.
Next question.
That’s the question. As one of our long term posters rickyroman said a few days ago that he thinks the JVA with POWERCHINA once signed = GL for the SoD. I also agree with this.
The reason we have this conclusion is down to the political influence the State owned enterprise (POWERCHINA) has with the GoB.
POWERCHINA = President Xi
They intend the Phulbari project to be a significant contributor to the Belt & Road Initiative, China’s flagship Silk Road program. Another reason why they wouldn’t sign the JVA with us without prior knowledge of the GL coming.
So one must ask oneself if the above is true then what does the next RNS mean to GCM.
In my opinion having been here for 10 years it’s the clearest signal of approval to mine we have ever had.
The Chinese JV is what’s different and using all the coal for Bangladeshi use.
We/the Chinese are just the conduit to get 6000MW of elecy to the nation.
Belt and Road. Leverage for the Chinese deal with us to mine Phulbari.
Absolutely glaw, let’s see what the RNSs say. In the meantime the sp can go wherever it wants. The machinations of the stock market, the greedy City bods and the derampers selling their grannies will be all over this.
I’m set.

“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has kept a close watch and ensured her trusted friend India that it could bin its worries vis-à-vis China.
The premier told Indian journalists in February, 2018, that:
“We want investment and cooperation from whoever offers it. We want development of the country... We have to think about our people as they are the beneficiaries of the development,” she said.
She said India, China, Japan and even the Middle Eastern countries were coming to Bangladesh for cooperation.”
People will be begging for this to drop. Switch off, sit on hands, wait patiently, ignore the derampers, remember the fundamentals and research. Re-assess at a later date.
...... required for all proposed coal plants in BD.
I worked it out a while ago and it come to 43 million tonnes pa.
We can generate up to 12 mill tonnes per annum. Other mines or import will need to be used for the rest.
Agreed bees. They didn’t want us to sell the coal into the international market. Now we don’t have to. Still it would be easier for China to take the whole lot. 500p+
She actually said that mining would be left to the next generation. She’s never to my knowledge specifically said GCM / Asia Energy are not allowed to mine.
Gold,
Joint Venture Agreement = Green Light
Green Light = Approval of the Scheme of Development (SoD) = Government of Bangladesh approval to mine Phulbari.
I don’t see it in my account but I have mentioned that a number of years ago when used another broker.
If I recall it’s a European bourse. I think I asked the question of what this was about 5 years ago. My memory slips on the response I got from the co.
There was nothing sinister though.
It’s clear we are in the ‘next phase’ of the share price and if you look historically at how this rises significantly there are large rises and short pull backs. That’s because the free float is minuscule and people generally hold on or use the rises to trade and hold more stock.
However, we are indeed expecting news on the JV or hopefully a slam dunk T/O. Either one will see a massive rerate in my opinion. As I’ve explained that imo the JVA = GL.
We are on our way, the large buys just give us a large signal.
